Lineup changes you'd like to see on offense or defense?

If you could have the cowboys swap certain players out and replace them with someone else on the team, who would you replace? It can be on offense or defense.


Offense: I'm through with Steele, let's see what Nate Thomas can give us at right tackle


Defense: Maybe it's time to give another player the GREEN DOT! I'm interested in seeing more of Liafau, maybe give the dot to him!!?

Defense: More of Clowney, Houston, and Thomas, less of Sam Williams/Mazi

That's a that's a pretty consensus type answer i'm sure most are gonna agree but we like to see the same thing... Maybe if OSA gets pushed around more and more he's getting turned sideways more than he used to I don't know why maybe you use Solomon Thomas more often not start but maybe the substitutions need to be quicker you need to start making the snaps more even instead of playing OSA 75% of the time you need Thomas in there I don't care if you need to bring up another three tech and get some other people in there 'cause it doesn't matter who you linebackers are if you let that offensive line of the opposing teams like Denver did play at our 4th level there there's no linebacker or safety in this league that can get around or block a 320 or 340 pound offensive lineman on the move just pancaking us number 77 in that video you see running around on Twitter he basically had two blocks that knocked two different Cowboys defenders off their feet onto the ground and then came up and got a 3rd block all in the same play on that 75 yard run or however long that run was early in the game You can't have offensive lineman blocking on the 2nd 3rd and 4th levels you'll never even get linebackers that can deal with that..

So yeah most of those changes seem necessary and obvious to us..

But something's got to give On that defensive line you need to find anyone I don't care if you move someone off of the practice squad if your practice squad somebody else's practice squad or go get a free agent off the street you need to have better reps from your defensive tackles....


Just like on the offense when the offensive line is terrible the rest of the offense is not gonna have a good day they're not gonna look good just like in a Denver game but if your defensive line is equally as bad it does not matter who you have behind them you are not winning those reps against the offensive lineman in centers who are pulling into the second and third levels you you you have no chance..

OT - at the very least rotate Nate in for a few series at either OT spot. I don't get why they did this for one game and stopped.

TE - More Brevyn Spann-Ford, less Schoon. I would like to trade Schoon for a 6th or 7th and sign Fairweather to the 53.

RB - Find a RB2. Open Mafah 21 day window and get him ready.

WR - At WR3 see what you have in Flournoy n Mingo, let this guys rotate and sprinkle in a little bit of Turp.

DT - Cut Toia and place him on PS. Activate Winfrey.

DE - Make Sam inactive. Play Eze, Houston, and Clowney mostly. Fowler n Kneeland in reserve roles.

LB - Start Liufau at MLB, so he and Overshown can be the 2 LBs on the inside in a few weeks.

CB - Play Carson over Elam n Bridges to see what he's going to do before Revel n Butler are ready to play because some of these CBs have to be released.

S - Play who ever is healthy and pray for the best.

I can get on board with most of those changes i'm not sure then coaching sets ready to make wholesale changes but they've definitely been trying to do that slowly over the last three weeks I don't know if you noticed that but Ford was in on a lot of snaps but has been more of a blocker but in the Denver game he went out on more pass outs than before.. I mean he's been active I believe most games that he's been healthy he just hasn't ran more pass routes but last week the problem with the offense they didn't have time for things to develop guys were getting covered up I mean when Ferguson doesn't even get a single catch that Denver defense was great but our offensive line blew our offense completely up they could not get anything on time I should say..

What we do need given that's a fact ford has been pretty much active when he's healthy is actually deactivate schoon and activate Fairweather off the practice squad, he looked good in pre-season I'd like to see what he looks like in real life he could be the James Houston of our offense...

That is a better idea than some you cannot cut Terrant Steele that's what some people are saying that just doesn't make sense he's not playing that poorly but both of them could use some timeouts for an entire series or two here and there and let's see what Nate Thomas can do but Steele is getting beat too much in the past game but he's pretty good in the wrong game But you can't rotate guys like that because you tip your hand on what you're running but I'd like to see more of him yes..

You can make Terrence Steele for one game at least to start as your swing tackle and let Nate Thomas start at right tackle and see what happens and if somehow the first half he doesn't look as good as people think then you can bring Steel back in but then you can put Nate Thomas in Forgotten and then see how that works out but you don't have to make wholesale big changes like using the word cut..

I know you didn't but if you look at a lot of these responses and these two threads about who you'd like to see play more there's too many people saying cut this guy cut that guy that's not works you just deactivate them.. You can lower their snaps you could demote them you can make them the number two but you don't have to make crazy changes...

You can just deactivate the guy It's not like Toya's been much better and really with OSA, I mean I'd like to see what Thomas/Winfrey, can do in a elevated role, all you had to do is take some snaps away from some of these players, demote, or deactivate them, get more snaps to somebody else, you don't have to cut everyone that's playing poorly or we wouldn't even be able to field the team.

Literally would have to forfeit if we took everybody off the field that was playing bad and cut them or deactivated them we wouldn't have anybody left..

I’m not a tanker and you play to win the game. But at this point I rather be picking in the top ten. So I’m going in the talent evaluation mode. Play the young guys and see who’s good and who’s not. Steele. Murray, and all the old safeties can sit.

Yes, its pretty funny coming here week after week after the games on Sunday. If they beat the Jets or Giants everybody here thinks were winning the division. When they get their butts kicked by the Bears and Broncos everybody is suicidal, LOL.
Its a crap team with a fun exciting offense to watch, except in big games against very good opponents or in big situations with the game on the line- where Dak turns back in to the Dak we all know and hate. He is who is he is at this point. To expect anything else is dumb. To really expect playoffs from this group is dumb.
We also have the most fun kicker in the league to watch. I really wanted to see him attempt a 70 - harder in Denver.

Aubrey is a complete waste on this team. If I am him I would not sign an extension with Dallas.

They would have to massively over pay me to play on a team that only wants to hang out at the rim.
