We are in as #5 seed no matter what happens (of course, eagles could lose to faclons but..). Our current defense sucks and our OL blows.

Lions game should be a game we can change a thing or two without worrying too much about the outcome. I would start Hatcher, Carpenter, Parrish and Glenn on defense and try to generate some pass rush. On offense, I would stick to J Jones and let him have 20+ rushes. Rivera should be benched asap and put whoever the backup guard is in there. Hopefully some of the new starters put some life into our team.

If our 5 seed is a wrap then I agree, it's time for some experimentation.

And for those of you who think this Detroit game is an automatic win must not be watching the same Cowboys that I've been watching.

Our team is not playing with any sense of urgency. Have you ever seen so may people fall down while trying to make a play? There is a startling difference between us and the intensity of the other teams playing during this time of the year. We have so much to play for. Rarely is a team in this position at this time of the year. I would be happy if we had better effort. Is that asking too much?

We don't have a decent replacement for Rivera.

Spot on. I said before the ATL game that this team looked to be in trouble and was labeled a "hater." BS. That's just being a "realist."

This team is crap.

I know but I can not image anyone being worse. heck, find someone on PS from other team. eagles had 7 sacks in last six games and they look like Bears DL against us. Eagles gave up 175 yard rushing per game and we could not pin in from 1 yard line three times in a row.

We play before the Eagles on Sunday, so we need to win this game. If we win & the Eagles lose, we are the Number 3 seed and host a playoff game. This team especially on D has to step up their game this week, get some confidence and go into the play offs on a high note, so unless we are going to change the starters for the duration of the run, I woudn't change anything. Get the guys that are going to play in the playoffs, some confidence, HOPEFULLY!

I was watching Roy Williams in the second half. The Eagles blocked him on running plays with seemingly no problem. He reminded me of Jeff Roher out there.

I can't call the one's I love "crap" but we are not good. Everybody out-plays us, EVERYBODY. We are just like the Colts and that ain't good. We were a mirror image of the Giants on Sunday and that's straight embarrassing.

I don't care what sport you play, it takes defense to be successful ... and we ain't got none (bad grammar intended).

What upset me the most was when we had the Eagles on the 10 yard line and they made that 3rd down play for 30 something yards. This defense is digressing.

The gus that are going to the playoffs have been doing the same crap for the past 4 weeks. Some changes should have been gradually made for weeks now. Now its too late (to quote the "great" Sherrell). I hate going out like this. This is going to be torture.

Yeah. What happened to them? Those guys yesterday were imposters. I can't believe this is happening.

Let me stop talking about this team .... I'm getting a headache.

I'd like to agree, but the way this team has performed the last month as well as the teams' history playing the Lions, I'm not feeling confident about any opponent.

The coaching is crap. Garbage.

Make no mistake...there is a lot of talent on this team. It isn't being used effectively and is being coached poorly.

Can't succeed if things remain the same.

The thing is, even if Dallas has to go to Seattle in round 1 that is a winnable game. Seattle is struggling too and we should have won there last season but didn't thanks to Bledsoe. After that a trip to Chicago whose offense is questionable so who knows. I know this team has crapped the bed lately but in this lousy NFC who knows. I wouldn't be shocked if Atlanta goes into Philly and wins next week either.

I totally agree. Detroit does have the weapons and the capability to stretch the field. This is definitely no drop in the bucket especially since Philly just gave them some more blueprints to beating the boys.

If the Giants win then I would just rest people that needed some healing.

I much rather play Seattle on the road instead of NY at home...

It seems like the teams in our division know us too well and they know how to beat us.

If there is a chance that we will play GB or Atlanta or Carolina, that's the only time I would want the 3 spot.

I would want to play Seattle and then Chicago... We don't match up well with Philly, NYFG or the Saints... they all know us too well... that's the sad truth.

It would be nice to be able to win convincingly and get some confidence back, but not if it is at the cost of having to play one of those three teams.

Good teams should be able to beat anyone.. but let's just face it.. this team is not that good.. so we need to play for matchups..

Let this team go on the road so that it maintains it focus..

This team needs to feel like the underdog because they are not good enough to play like they think they are good..

Our history against them? You know we've won the last three meetings, right? In a pretty convincing fashion, might I add. our defensive performance recently is a concern, but I don't think Detroit can mjatch with our offense either. We may win in a similar fashion to the Atlanta game.
