No. Give me a healthy Henry Melton and a high draft pick over this dirt bag any day.

It really depends on what they're asking for him. A first? No, even though I love him as a player.

A third? Hell yeah.

If he agrees to an incentive laden contract extension that not only ties to his performance but also conduct then sign me up for a 3rd. I might even consider a 3rd this yr and 4th next yr.

Proven talent like this is hard to find IF he can keep his head. At 27 his is in his prime and say all you want about Donald but he is still unproven commodity in the NFL.

I don't like him as a person, but as a player? Maybe the Cowboys need some of his nasty! I'm tired of players that don't defend the Star. If he defended the Lions with his nasty play, maybe if he wore the Star he would really defend the team, nasty or not. The defense needs some nasty players! Let the offense have all the nice guys.

As much as this team needs attitude, this team DOES not need the salary that he would command nor can they afford to lose any draft picks that would be needed to acquire him.
This pretty much sums it up.

He's defiant to coaching staff. And though I don't respect JG in the least, we don't need him mocking/testing coaches any chance he gets. That is more of my gripe with him compared to his dirty play. He likes to show up coaches to establish himself as some untouchable alpha. This D is too young for that ignorant influence.

Not interested. Dirty off the field? I don't really care. Dirty on the field? You're a loser.

The best things we have done this offseason have been start to get our money right and accumulate a few extra late round picks. A draft day trade for suh would undo that in one fell swoop.
That said the kid is a physical manical player on the d line and would certainly help. I think some of his problem was the atmosphere that ****** bag head coach fostered up in Detroit. It will interesting to see how he does under Caldwell .

I won't say what he has done on the field is "dirty". Erik Williams was dirty. Some of the things Suh has done are brainless and irresponsible.

That's what I've read too. I agree with you, the locker room doesn't need that. The dirty play is one thing, but how you treat your coaches and teammates is a whole nuther issue.

Yes, ab-so-freaking-lutely.

He is the player in the league who could have the biggest impact on improving this team Y/Y. Add in Suh and we have at least a top 16 defense. Likely top 12. Turns our biggest weakness into our biggest strength.

For Dallas to trade for Suh, the required trade would probably be more than we'd be willing to part with. If that doesn't deter you from wanting him, consider the fact that he's currently in contract negotiations with Detroit and wants to be paid as the highest paid DT in the NFL. He hasn't reported to their OTAs as a result of those negotiations bogging down. Do the Cowboys sound like a likely candidate to accomodate his desire to be the #1 paid DT in addition to the high cost of a trade? Uh-huh, I didn't think so.

I like crazy but the reports of him disrespecting the coaching staff and players would make me pass.

Having to pay him is the only reason I reluctantly say no. We had the WORST defense in Cowboys' history. Pairing him with Melton inside on Marinelli's defense would go a long way towards turning things around.

I want a nasty front 7 like Seattle and SF. Suh would bring much needed attitude and intimidation to our defense. Too bad he'll cost too much.

There are other baggage issues with Suh. The dirty play on the field is one thing, the weird other things with car wrecks and what not.

He is a strange case because he actually does have some "friends in the media" who have defended his actions. That is rare and he could come out fine if he were able to play that to his advantage.

He needs to be his smartest advocate and be a leader for that defense.

Honestly, his best approach right now would be for him to be at the offseason program with a completely new staff and leading his teammates. He is not doing that for whatever reason.
