Detroit has locked up its franchise quarterback.

The Lions and Matthew Stafford have agreed to a five-year contract extension to make him the highest-paid player in the league, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the deal.

Yeah, but his contract was $68M, not $135M He didn't demand to be the highest paid QB in the league and I don't believe he deserved it. He definitely deserved to get a big payday as he was a quality QB.
