Lions fans are really mad. Their team, in back to back years, has had extremely bad luck with injuries and the fans blame Campbell and his infamously physical practices. Their training staff is also taking some strays as well.

They reportedly tackle much more frequently than other teams and have much more physical non tackling drills as well.

I recall in pre season their fans calling for him to chill out this season but Campbell is, of course, one of those guys who is stubborn as hell.

Well, right on time, they’ve had guys getting injured at a pretty high clip as the season rolls on.

The increase in regular season games was always accompanied by increases in roster size. The NFLPA has the power to stop the increase in regular season games played. They instead agree to more games for more money.

48 player game day rosters came in with increased regular season games. No increase in the number of regular season games played has occurred without the expressed consent of the players’ union. Playing in foreign countries was agreed to by the NFLPA. The players are complicit in these decisions and for the same reason the owners’ desire it. Money.
