Lions @ Saints

They also don't stop themselves on purpose by punting from inside the opponents' 40 on fourth-and-short.

I hope Jason Garrett is watching this game and taking notes.

What? They went for it on 4th and short from their own 40 also. I don't think that is really all that smart. Probably more arrogant than smart, but it is the playoffs.

Think the Cowboys will ever be this good again?

Not in Jerry Jones' lifetime. He has sealed his own fate and taken all of us along for the ride.

man what i would give if we had the saints oline and the texans youth on defense.

We may get one of them from the Saints.

I kinda liked the Lions this year until they started to act like thugs . I hope the beatdown gets worse .

This made me think of something for some reason, did you or anyone see the interview with Jerry when he was asked about Sean Peyton and he kind of laughed/scoffed and said something like he thought he was a goofball/weirdo? It didn't strike me as being sarcastic either.

I thought the saints Oline sucked a couple of years ago? Wasn't Bushrod a rookie that was not playing well? How'd they turn it around so fast?

I wonder how many WRs have had 200+ yds receiving in back-to-back games? That's got to be a pretty short list.

I don't have a problem with going for it on fourth-and-inches from your own 40, either, especially in that situation.

I was referring to going for it from Detroit's 40, though. I'm pretty certain that Garrett would have just punted.

Yes, I remember that. I also remember that Parcells said Sean Payton was too caffienated and had a lot of "Jap" plays (his quote, not mine) in his playbook.

Payton made fools out of both of them.

Talent and coaching . Works every time .

Pulling for the Lions in this game has caused me to recall how painful it was pulling for the Cowboys all season long.

Just thought I would get that off my chest. :laugh2:

No kidding. Not sure anybody else would have thought it through to that conclusion. ;)

Hard to argue about Rodgers this year but IMO Brees is the best QB in the NFL and has been for awhile.

I see the Cowboys secondary isn't the only one that sucks. :laugh1:

Must be nice to have their line. Just think how Romo could perform with it.

Have to agree though, line or not he'd still be a spectacular quarterback.

I love the way Payton keeps his foot on the accelerator.

The Saints haven't punted and the game is almost over.
