List your cowboys superstitions

Last year I ordered a personalized #54 R. White jersey since he's my favorite cowboy. Of course I don it everytime I watch a cowboys game on the ticket. Unfortunately, I have a temper when it comes to my boys, so I tossed the jersey and put on a T-shirt during the Giants game when they were making a run. BINGO, we start to take it to them as soon as I do. Coincidence, probably.


The Chicago game.. I get fed up with the slow play at halftime and switch the jersey. BAM! Domination.


During the Rams game I wore it for 2 of our drives. I wasn't disgusted or anything, but I thought, "Why don't I take it off now and just get us started to victory?". I did, and we started kicking that butt. Wow, I indeed wield the power.

My wife asked me why don't I just stop wearing it for the game, to which I reply "And mess up the mojo? As soon as I stop wearing it for the beginning, there's no telling what will happen!"

I'm attending the NE game, and I'll be having a standby shirt ready to go. I'll let you know whether I crushed our chances or not.


I'm sure plenty of you have better superstition stories than I. Do tell them.

I wear a Cowboy shirt on gameday every week, if we win I where the same shirt without washing it the next week. Ha, lets just say its a good thing this shirt smells bad I also have to have Barq's root beer handy, kind of weird thing.

I decided not to get a haircut until we lose our first game this year. With the way things are going I may look like Johnny Damon in January.

Nothing major here but I have to wear a Cowboy Jersey and hat for each game.

I have several but I don't switch them when things are going bad. I have been known however to fling the hat at the TV in disgust a time or two. Non this year but the hat got a work out when Parcells as here.

I now blowouts are so much better than nailbiters. Ha, to me anyway.

Nobody can come to our house. Nobody.

My parents and sister are ok.

Everyone else gets kicked out before the game.

Nobody can call me during the game. If someone is stupid enough to call, it gets ignored.

This started last year when it seemed something bad always happened when 1. someone was over, and 2. someone called.

i avoid wearing my cowboys gear on gameday, unless i am attending the game, or going elsewhere to watch it.

i am the same way with the Spurs and Longhorns. I remember last year my sis was wearing a Longhorns hoodie and they were getting beat badly....i made her take it off and wear just her white undershirt.....and they were still losing, cause she was leaning on the shirt. I yelled at her to not even be in contact with the shirt. Once she stopped touching the shirt altogether, UT started their comeback and won the game. Yes, she thinks I'm weird and that I go overboard with my superstitions, but hey......that's me.

I just feel that when I wear the gear of my teams on the day they play that I am jinxing them.

I only wear my Jersey (throwback T-New) for the game then I have to immediately take it off after the game ends. I drape it over a chair and I don't touch it until the following week.

1. No cowboys gear.
2. No shaving till gameday.
3. Never watch the game in the same place two times in a row.

Guess thats it. There may be something about eating chicken wings somewhere, but I haven't quite figured it out.

My wife works for the Cowboys and every year she gets me the coach's polo shirts to wear. This year I forgot to wear my new one and put on last years shirt and we won, so now I have worn last years polo for every game.
May not get to wear the new one for awhile, I hope.

1. Always wear some kind of Cowboys gear.

2. Never (under any circumstance) shave on game day. Stole that one from Novacek.

Wear a WVU shirt or Hat...or both.

Never wear cowboys gear. Learned my lesson that one with some bad games in the past.

ok, this one may be weird, but i sit and watch the game....

and if the Cowboys have more points than the team they are playing at the end of the game THEY WIN!!!! if not, THEY LOSE!!!!

I have to wear the same t shirt that the players wear,for each game.for example,we're home,the new grey t-.away,the navy blue.also,all of my mini Cowboys helmets have to face East.so far so good this season.

I used to wear a jersey for the games, but this year since we have a baby, I had to buy a Cowboys t-shirt. I couldn't let her spit up on my jerseys, so I wear this shirt for every game.

During the Chicago game I realized I wasn't wearing the shirt, and we were not looking good. I changed into it immediately, and we were rolling for the rest of the game.

After that, it was dubbed the "lucky shirt" and will be worn going forward, probably for the rest of the season.
