It sounds like after years and years of awful play designs the media chose this year to finally call him out for it.

Several people are asking why they can't figure out a way to get Dez the ball.

I don't know why they are choosing yesterday to finally call him out for this but it looks like it will be one of the themes today.

Good.

Not finding ways to get Dez into mismatches is a crime.

The slot position is calling his name.

Are they also calling out Dez for not making a play on the opportunities he did have?

No because they understand he shouldn't have to always be a magician in order to make a play.

That was a tough play. He kept his hand under the ball the entire time. The ball moved.. What can you do? Hope the ball doesn't move? He caught the ball. It just moved.

Who is him? Garrett or Linehan?

How do people know what play was called? The QB has options. It's presumptuous for people to think that plays were not called for Dez. The Giants aren't stupid and Dak is smart.

It was a loss so it's Garrett, if it's a win its Linehan.

Me personally.. I've been critical after wins plenty and so have others.

Just because Dez can out jump the entire team and bring down the ball doesn't mean our offensive coaching staff know how to design plays to get guys open.

I'm actually not that upset with the offensive coaching staff for yesterdays game and i'm shocked that they are finally getting some heat and the media is choosing yesterday to point out what I've been saying for almost a decade.

It's not plays being called. It's the design of the play. We don't design plays that get Dez in space.

Teams are using pick plays and rub routes (see Victor Cruz TD) to get guys in space.. What do we do? Nothing but dinks and dunks and throw it up to Dez.. Even with Romo.

I really don't get it. It's not like either of these guys haven't been around great offensive minds their whole life.

They are making general statements about who it is.

Obviously Linehan calls plays but this is the same crap schemes we've seen since Garrett took over.

It's not WR friendly at all and doesn't put us in the best position to succeed.

I think the bigger issue lies with Dez. I think he has an extremely limited route tree and has poor route running and disappears FAR too often when someone other than Romo is throwing him the ball. I think Romo is good enough to figure out how to use Dez's obvious limitations and make them work.

Did any of them give the Giants DC, a very good one, any credit? How about a rookie QB that might he a little tentative? The Giants were going to stop the run first and second, Prescott to Bryant. They let us have Witten all we want and he doesn't scare any defenses.

They know what we know, or those of us that will admit it, Bryant is not a great route runner, that's not his game. Close game and the team struggling to score TD's, how many 50/50 balls do we expect a rookie QB to throw up?

The Cowboys have an old friend back for a visit, trouble in the red zone. Any NFL team can move between the 20's, this team was all foreplay yesterday and it was a team effort. Coaches didn't drop passes and miss blocks.

I just hope this shuts down that best OL in the NFL crap. It is not and I went back and forth with some last week. As long as Free plays, this is not the best pass protect OL and they're inconsistent. And yesterday, they were not the best run OL on the field, let alone the league.

Its not easy getting the ball to Bryant because he runs a basic 3 routes in slow motion and has very average hands in normal situations. At least Bailey was great!
Be careful, you'll rile the Dezzies into a fit because he's the best in the league. The D stacks the line, as everyone in the free world knew they would, and the #1 WR can only get 4 targets and make 1 catch and that's the coaches fault? He is the most overpaid player in the NFL.

It's been the same knock on the offensive design for quite some time. It does a poor job to scheme players to get open and requires them to constantly win matchups. Look at the Bengals yesterday, AJ Green goes for 12 catches, 180 yds against a good Jets def. Just about everyone knows they are throwing to AJ, who else do they really have? Marvin Jones and Sanu are gone, their Pro Bowl TE Eifert is still out and they still find ways to get AJ the ball. Sure, Dalton is a better QB than Dak is right now, but it's hard to believe a good OC staff couldn't manage a way to get Dez at least 4-5 catches instead of 1.

I don't even want to talk about teaching a team how to properly run a screen(that isn't to the slowest player on the field)..........

Romo is not doing anything different nor do I believe that Dez has limitations. We do not exploit 1 on 1 opportunities with Dez. I noticed on 1st and 10 teams stack the box because 99% of the time we're running the ball.

They are stuck with Beasly who can only play the slot, a one trick pony. I'd like to see Williams and Brice outside with Dez in the slot.
