I loved it when aggies used to trash Texas because they went to the "Holi-Cotton" bowl every year before they swept into the BCS and MNC games...but when aggies are in the Holiday or Cotton bowls, then they are monumental achievements.

Anyway, having a QB who could not hit the side of a barn in the passing game killed them tonight. They cannot hang with teams who can score points in bunches.

I also loved when Heavyhitta was in here laughing at Texas because they did not have a New Year's bowl game, typical "aggie humor". When is A&M actually going to show up at a bowl game in the next decade because the last 2 have been comical routes.


Don't worry though, they have 12-7 to hang onto for the next decade as they fall back to the basement.

I could also be as classless and heavyhitta and put a pick of Goodson's torn up knee in my sig, but I do have class and find it a fitting end after watching aggies celebrate and injury to a QB who was carted off the field.

I only caught a few minutes here and there.

However I did get a laugh when a Cal defender hit the Aggie QB and the QB jumped up and said bring it on and so on.

Later Cal defender Bishop (that kid was a machine last night) just tattooed that aggie QB.

Later in the game they show the Aggie QB on the sideline looking like he was having a hangover from a three day drinking spree. :laugh1:

Wow, Horn fans have a pretty short memory... talking Holiday Bowl smack. Wasn't too long ago you had a standing reservation there... getting beat by some pretty mediocre Pac 10 teams as well if I recall correctly.

I was mostly addressing the original poster.

It's just ironic to hear Horn fans demeaning the Holiday Bowl... I guess one year of success wipes out years of underperformance.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Heavy or the Aggies... I thought it was funny as heck that they got exposed, because you know there would be some serious crowing if they won.

The funniest thing was at the end when the two coaches met... Tedford apologized for making them look so bad. I'm sure Fran responded: "Don't worry about it, we've been embarrased MUCH worse than this before."

I also thought it was justice that the Ag football team had the score run up on them the very same night their basketball team shamefully ran up the score against Grambling... something like 101-28. What goes around comes around!

Oddly enough Rutgers won their bowl game by a decent margin, while their basketball team got the beat down put on them by UNC.

However I don't have any ill will towards Rutgers football team, I think that coach has done a great job with them and that football program deserves to have some success after so many years of being bad.

I've always been into the whole "bowl season" thing... but this year, it's like watching paint dry.

Sure, I'll watch the Oklahoma game eagerly, but even I can admit that that one looks pretty boring to a non-fan.

Honestly even the Nat Champ game doesn't excite me this year.

I normally love the bowl season, yet I have only watched bits and pieces of a couple games so far.

I will watch the WVU game, Probably the Mich/USC game and I may watch some of the Ohio State game.

I imagine I may only have to watch a half of the Ohio State game as they may put Florida away by the first half.

The bowls are horrid this year.....I will watch some of the TTech-Minnesota game tonight only because I went to Tech, but the matchups on a whole are not very good......I like you think OSU will beat Florida pretty easily.............I think ND is a non-deserving BCS team, I think Boise State is non deserving as they play nobody........Wake Forest against Louisville? yawn.............the only game I really am looking forward to is the Rose Bowl, it is the best matchup I think.

I actually thik the WF/Louisville game may be underated, it might turn out to be one of the better ones.

I am also thinking that the Boise State may turn out to be a decent game to watch, although it may get out of hand in the second half.

Sometimes I like watching the underdog schools play. They usually do a good job in the first half, than the lack of depth comes into play in the second half.
It is just fun to watch and see if they can hold off and pull out an upset win.

Maybe, after all who thought Okie State and Alabama would play such a good game yesterday?

One matchup up I think could be good is the Cotton Bowl (Nebraska-Auburn), but since no Texas school is involved, it seems to be getting little fanfare in DFW and they are having a harder time selling tickets.....when I was at the game last year, it was sold out.

I used to love New Years Day...now it's like big whoop. Now the Rose Bowl is good but all the rest you can have.
