I was curious as to whether he'd updated the blog after the release, as it would actually be interesting to read the player's perspective on things after getting released. The home page is there but there is also a message saying the site is temporarily down. Ironically enough, one of the photos on the front page is Parcells and him shaking hands.

seriously, what else would you expect? Guy didn't want 1000 hatemails after the game.

I don't think it's that he is a bad kicker. He has been pretty solid for years.

I think he's been in a slump and hasn't really gotten back into the same form he was after coming off that injury.

Hopefully, he can take this time off to get his head back in the game and can come back next year and try to get on with another team. I hope the best for him.

Richie Cunningham was pretty good.

He just got cold after about 3 seasons.

And Tim Seder was really good at fake field goals. ;)

Whoever needs a fake field goal kicker would be really happy with Tim Seder.

The biggest issue is, he might be ok for another team but NOT this one.

Parcells coaches every game to come down to a fourth quarter FG. I think this style of coaching magnifies any weak points a kicker might have.

I was a bit surprised (and pleased) with how compassionate Parcells' comments about Cundiff seemed to be. And he even called his replacement by his first name. Parcells comes off 75% of the time like an SOB and then about the time he conditions his audience to expect it he comes back with some compassion.

I actually like the potential of Cundiff. I think he just needs to breakthrough his own mental ceiling and he'll be good. I thought that 55 yd'er right when he was re-signed would perhaps put him over the top. I still think when he gets his head back on that he could be as good as any of those still trying to emerge. But if Bill saw the same struggles in practice it was time to turn the page.

Now honestly what can you realisitically expect from Suisham though? If the guy was hyperventilating in his earlier debut, and during warmups to boot, what kind of pressure would he face if he had to kick for us on the road in the playoffs? Lets hope we have to worry about that.
