The Ticket still has an old Fake Norm/Fake Goose interview from a couple of years back on their "TicketBit" page. I laugh every time I listen to it.

Yep, this interview reminded me of that... Which is why I put that at the end, though I wasn't clear about it.

But I half expected him to finish this up with, "Sorry Norm, gotta go. God has more secrets to tell me."

LOL .....with Norm screaming back about the particulars of his death.

Yeah, the Fake Goose is awesome. The real one, not so much. Like someone else said, I can take listening to him during draft season, but that's about it.

Sorry... The real one.

What a joke.

It's like he goes out of his way to take the opposite view of his "readers" or "listeners."

He's basically a draftnik who is good at collecting information from sources. That's it. In other words, he can report.

What he can't do is write or convey intelligent dialogue on a radio show. He should stick to reporting and leave the analysis/opinion to someone who has a clue.

I agree the skins have a good defense and could be a sleeper. I don't know about his wr comment though.

I think the Giants will be ok early but will struggle mainly on offense later on in the season.

Erm.... how could a video board ever be "more substance" than flash?

For that matter, how could a stadium be more substance than flash?

What would make these things substantive to the point it exceeds any flash?

That's like saying a coffee mug is more flash than substance. What's substantive about a mug?

I guess Goose must hate all those players he lobbies for at the HOF voting.

Good receivers in Washington will make their bad QB look good? More like, their bad QB will makr their good receivers look worse (and it's debatable that they're good receivers). But hey, let's keep sugarcoating, all in the name of Cowboy-Hate.

Goose has that logic that you don't need a QB to get the ball to the receivers.

I was listening to the fake goose bits from last year and his predictions were shockingly accurate (much moreso than the real goose).

-- If the three receivers taken in the second round pan out, they could have six good receivers, which will make Campbell "an even better player". Skins could be a sleeper team.

Wrong. They drafted two receivers and a tight end. None of them was remotely good last year and even the most diehard Commanders fans think they suck. Malcolm Kelly and Fred Davis (the TE) had a combined 6 catches for 45 yards last year. The "best" of the bunch, Devin Thomas, had 15 catches for 120 yards.

Where is he even getting the 6 good receivers thing? I'm looking at their depth chart right now. They have Moss (a decent #2 receiver), Randel El (a servicible 3 receiver at best), and the two sophomores mentioned above. After that it's DJ Hackett (with 118 career receiving yards) and Roydell Williams. Who wouldn't be scared of facing those guys?

Charean must have Buehlerlike awesomeness to overcome Goose's Cowboys hatred.

Goose is a syncophantic school girl by nature, that's how he gets such great scoops, and I could see him easily falling starry eyed in love with Zorn who "sounds" like a great head coach. He needs someone to take Herm Edwards and Jon Gruden's place.

Goose's deal is he gets his feelings hurt that Cowboy fans don't appreciate his genius so he becomes even more jaded toward the local team.

I could see if he was a pessimist and bagged on every team but alas he thinks all other teams are phenomenal and rails solely on Dallas.

Washington isn't awful but they are a clear 4th in the NFCE. Campbell can "drive the bus" but they do not have enough talent to compete in the NFCE and the OL in Washington is plain dreadful. The defense looks great against that offense... awesome.

Talking about the Giants not missing Plaxico is a joke. They had half a season last year and could do nothing.

Ramses Barden is raw as rain and while Nicks may develop into a good player he isn't going to touch what Plaxico brought as a former top 10 pick who was playing in his prime.

For all the flack Dallas takes for losing to Philly, Baltimore, Pittsburgh to end the year, it's hilarious that the Giants get a pass for being worse.
