Long Snapper

In perusing the threads, I see nothing about the kid who played long snapper last night.

In short - for all those who want Robinson cut in favor of youth/cost...well...don't hold your breath. McBriar had to bend down to grab waaaaay too many of those snaps, 1 or 2 of his punts close to being blocked. That Robinson contract is no problem as far as I am concerned, considering the alternative.

Yeah, I thought the snapping wasn't up to par, either, but at least they all got there without bouncing. I think anyone new ought to be able to do better than we saw last week

Dunno if you got me....that guy was new. Robinson sat out, didn't snap. I'm saying that I think it would be in our interests to go ahead and keep robinson.

Yep for this year, but if someone like Bret Pierce at least shows some promise, it would be good for future.

I wish somone would give us good read on Long Snappers too, since they had two of them doing it. I thought Brett Pierce was one of them and Condon the other. Was it?

I didn't notice Pierce doing anything like that. I know that Condon did it at least twice, and both times it was at the punter's feet.

I think John Condo did some snapping....and he also did some missed tackling on punt coverage. He was that #46 you saw bouncing off the PR. At least he was down there right away though.

Yeah, I agree. What I was trying to say was that if the Boys keep anybody new, he needs to get better results than we saw last night. If they can't find anyone to do better, let's keep the old guy - he may be expensive, but you gotta have a good snapper if you want to go anywhere worth getting to. I thought McBriar did a really good job of recovering the snaps and getting off sensational punts - he's definitly a keeper.
