Look on the Bright Side-We're Not the Packers

We, like the Packers, have played in tons of nail-biters. But they have won ZERO of them.

We, like the Packers, have a gun-slinging vet QB. But the "other" guy's _disaster_ was CONSISTENT.

We, like the Packers, have a kicking game that's been the ultimate undoing. But Longwell has done FAR worse damage.

Yep, but...

The Packers, unlike us, drafted a QB in the first round to replace a legend.

The Packers, unlike us, lost their starting tailback, best wideout, damn near the entire offensive line and I dont think went on the FA spending spree.

The Packers, unlike us, will have a very high draft pick.

The Packers unlike us, will be getting Jevon Walker and Ahmad Green back.

Yeah, but they can keep Ahman "Butterfingers" Green who is not getting any younger.

And they can keep Aaron Rogers who is as proven as Phillip Rivers.

And they can keep that high draft pick because that team will be a bottom feeder for awhile. ;)

What I find funny is that MOST of all the good QBs were backups for farve .

Ill take Ahmad Green any day of the week.

Oh and our team has been bottom feeders for seemingly forever...

So I guess....it would take one to know one.

Ahman Green is on the downside of his career. He has been injured the last 2 years and his knees are now questionable. Najeh Davenport is Green's backup and I bet he will be the starter next season and Green will be cut.

Reggie Bush has already stated he will not play for Green Bay, so the Packers are in a quadmire there.

If the packers had half a mind they would make the decision for Brett this offseason and be done with him. They hit bottom, it only makes sense for them to take Rodgers and start over fresh as they start rebuilding. I mean I don't know about the next guy but I really hate seeing what Farve is doing to his hall-of-fame career be resisting to step aside. At very least he needs to go to another team where he would fit better (ala-montana). The guy is a "final-piece" to a team, or atleast could be, but is by no way or circumstance someone a team like the Packers should be thinking about rebuilding around at this point in his career. It's almost embarrassing to watch him play lately. I feel sorry for the guy because he still thinks he has "it". When all he really has is an early excuse for disability checks down the road.

Hang it up Farve. Have some pride and go out on your terms. You're a year or two away from being run out of the league. And don't think for a second it won't be those blood-thirsty packer fans that do it. They were his biggest critic in the beginning, looks as if they are about set to be his biggest critics on the way out also. You can almost see them starting to foam at the mouth they're getting so irritated. Yet on the same string, they can't let go because it's the last memberance of years past and they realize how long it could be before they are ever to build anything of relivance in Green Bay again. Only took them 30 years this last time to do it.

I'd let Favre play one series against Seattle and then let Rodgers give it a whirl. But you know old Brett might just have one more bit of magic left against his old coach at Lambeau- it's the perfect Hollywood ending for him- go out and beat your old coach in your last game.

Did you guys happen to watch Ahman Green play this year? The guy is finished.

In 5 games, he had 0 TDs on the year (rushing or receiving), a 3.3 rush average, and no more than 58 yards rushing in any game. Oh, and he's now coming off an ACL injury, is close to his 29th birthday, and will be competing with Samkon Gado for carries. He'll never be a 1000+ yard RB again.

Whispers around the NFL according to what I have heard on Fox Sports and ESPN radio are that Rogers may not be the answer for a few more years.....

Well, he certainly looked horrible against Baltimore's prevent defense- 1 pick and two lost fumbles.

He looks so mechanical. With Tedford's history of producing QBs who don't adjust to the NFL, I would be worried if I were a GB fan that Rogers isn't the answer.

They can keep Green, I'll take JJ and Barber
Brett, looks lost.

Plus, I really think this defense is going to be very special for a few years.
Green Bay's defense is also a mess.
