Look out for the Commanders in '06. Last time they finished a season with 5 wins, ...

they won the SB the next year. In Gibbs' first season, he won the last 5 games to finish 8-8, I believe. The next season? A crushing win against the hapless Cowboys in the NFC championship game, and then SB glory.

In '06, the Commanders in the Superbowl is a given. (Hmmm, I do seem to remember using that word "given" recently, wonder where.)

Snyder will open his check book, and then? Imagine our D with a good pass rushing end. Our D will be unscorable against! And a very good WR too. Moss, [insert that WR's name here], Cooley, Portis, Brunnel. We'll be unstoppable on O.

Meanwhile, welcome to the "we aren't going to the Super Bowl this year" world.:laugh2:

Well the Skins are probably about 25 million over the cap next year. I see players cut and maybe a new 2nd year QB in the their future.

The problem is the skins are already projected to be close to 30million over next years cap.

Yes they will. And cap or no cap, Snyder will raise the SB trophy at the end of next season.

They probably will, but it will be made of cardboard and in the fort they make under the kitchen table.

Snyder or the deadskins will never raise a trophy in your life time. I know you hope that their will be another strike year, (that's the only time you all can win a SB) but there will not be, and your team, you, and the rest of your stink fanbase will never win as long as Jerry Jones is in charge of Americas Team:starspin :skins: :lombardi:

Kinda hard for that to happen considering your cap situation.

Your not gonna be able to find that DE in the draft either...

Please stopping talking about stuff when you have no clue....

the skins were 4 mill under after a thorough breakdown of extensions sb's being taken over the next X amount of years and the obvious cutting of a couple certain players......

stop going by some googled link on espn.com when those guys have no clue what SB is being extended over those years

you can search it if you like on ES

it's not possible for this team to be in cap ****, you of all people should know this......

Rule #1 when visiting ES: Don't believe a thing that's posted. 90% of the posters have no clue what they are talking about, and the 10% that do are banned because they make those that have no clue (all but 1 of the mods included) look like the true idiots they are.

The Washington Commanders, as of right now, could restructure every single player on their roster to the longest extent possible and would still be roughly 6 million over the cap. You WILL have to release several good players or face the penalty from the NFL.

1- Commanders fans are ignorant fools so take whatever they say with multiple grains of salt.
2- The year that Nedward is referring to was the great sham strike year of 1982 when they played less gams than college teams did. So, better hope for a strike next year Ned.
3-NedK=Daniel Snyder.

Dude...***...ever since I came here you've made it a point to jump all over my posts with random bs.....

90%....great and what organization did a study of that....or is it 90% of the things said YOU don't agree with so you call them wrong....well news flash turbo.....you've predicted cap **** season after season and it hasn't happened.......6 million over....huh?.....how did you figure that out, another google to an espn writer trying to meet a quota?.....those figures don't reflect anything remotely accurate......

Oh...and here's a quote in case you care....this is another way to get the cap down

Now, here's where the real savings will be made. The top 16 earners against the 2006 cap are:
Arrington $12.046m becomes $7m once roster bonus is pro-rated
Samuels $10.218m becomes $7m once roster bonus is pro-rated
Springs $5.8 becomes $3.55m once roster bonus is pro-rated
Jansen $5.6m
Brunell $5.4m
Thomas $4.9m
Daniels $4m
Moss $3.6m
Washington $5.167m becomes $3.3m once roster bonus is pro-rated
Portis $5.476m becomes $3.2m once roster bonus is pro-rated
Griffen $4.483m becomes $3m once roster bonus is pro-rated
Taylor $3
Wynn $3.43m
Rogers $2.3
Harris $2.4m
Bowen $2.4m

Bold indicates players with roster bonuses due, italics indicates players covered above who I believe will have their cap figure lowered or removed (cut, restructures). Now, with regards to the roster bonuses due to those players indicated, all of them have language inserted into their contracts allowing the Skins to pro rate those bonuses and spread them over the remaining years of their contracts. The slight problem is that when the Skins did this a few years back, they were confident a new CBA would have been done by now so that years past 2009 would be covered by cap law, allowing the pro-rated bonuses to be spread over further and reducing the hits over those years, including 2006. This may yet happen but at this point, those bonus pro-rates will reduce the cap hit for the team by roughly $15m if current CBA law applies and if an extension is agreed on the CBA, the amount will be even more.

Add in that the cap should fall to at least $90m.

___________

Gibbs is in charge not snyder and it's gonna stay that way for at least a few more years.....

Now could we PLEASE drop this subject?
