Mc Daniel tries to assert himself. Is it me or does this guy have a Napoleon complex?

Report: Broncos demote Marshall to second team

The Denver Broncos-Brandon Marshall saga has taken another turn. Today, the NFL mandates that each team release a depth chart and Denver's has an interesting revelation at wide receiver. From DenverPost.com, via ProFootballTalk.com:

After missing all but the first two days of full-squad workouts, Brandon Marshall has fallen out of the starting lineup. The team’s top three receivers are listed as Eddie Royal, Brandon Stokley and Jabar Gaffney, which should come as no surprise to anyone who has watched training camp. Marshall, the team’s top receiver the last two years, is on the second-team, listed behind Gaffney.

No thanks

He's one screw up away from getting suspended by Goodell for a long period of time.

Touching gila monsters in an inappropriate manner, which is kind of confusing since he is in Denver.

He's a wife beater. Keep him away from Valley Ranch please. We just got rid of all our drama. Don't need more.

If the guy could stop his off field issues, and head issues, that cat would be a heck of a darn great WR to pick up. Especially if you could pick him up pretty cheaply from Denver who clearly doesn't want him anymore.

The Chiefs "demoted" Bowe to the THIRD team to try to motivate him.

Does anyone think the Chiefs will trade him or he'll actually start the season on the bench?

Once upon a time early in TC 1991 Michael Irvin wasnt listed as a starter for us. In fact I think he was officially 4th on the depth chart.

That said, I wouldnt take Brandon Marshall for even a late rd pick.

I saw Brandon Marshall on the NFL Network set one day and he was standing with Rod Woodson. He made Woodson look small and Woodson was a big, NFL CB. I was shocked!

I couldn't believe how big he was and it made me realize why he is so difficult to cover. The guy is a physical freak and monster. If he had his head on right he could be an all-time great.

I heard the head coach talk about this on sirius. Said Marshall would not be at the preseason game so that is why he is listed second team.

They did the same thing with Dwayne Bowe. Tired of these prima donna WR's. I would trade head case Marshall as fast as I could. Not to the Cowboys.

Probably any good coach is going to have a little "Napoleon" in him. I think McDaniels is trying to establish his leadership with the team, sort of like what Jimmy did when he came in. JJ kicked over all the sacred cows and ruffled some feathers. He didn't win a lot of friends doing that until they started winning.

I've no idea if McDaniels is going to be a good coach or not but I think he's trying to sell the idea that nobody is bigger than the team. Seeing as how he came from the Parcells/Belichick school of thought, that is understandable. In my opinion, this is what caused the problems with Cutler because he was Shanahan's boy and was used to being "special." I'm not saying Cutler isn't talented because he is. I just think there was a certain mindset that he had that McDaniels was not going to cater to. If the Broncos start winning, McDaniels will be a genius, if not, he'd better have thick skin.

He doesn't wanna play in Denver. He pulled up with a sore hammy and stopped practicing. Whatever.

IIRC....... the second he found out Cutler was traded and Kyle Orton was the QB, he wanted out. And yes, he is a problematic receiver.

Dude, he has been in and out of trouble for 2 years now. The latest is that he beat up his girlfriend and has upcoming court soon. If he is found guilty, he faces a substantial suspension.
