Looks like I was wrong about Fasano...

On this forum I doubted Fasano would have much of an impact this year, and would probably average 1 completion per game. It looks like I'm going to end up being wrong about that. Thank goodness.

While I'm coming clean, I might as well mention that I confidently stated that Matt Jones would probably never be a starting caliber WR in the NFL. Being from Arkansas and even talking with Matt a couple of times in social settings, I didn't think he had it in him. Well, I'm happy to say that it looks like I was wrong about that. He looks pretty solid right now.

Bottom line: Its a good thing I don't gamble, or I'd be a poor man!

Although it's still early, I'm also pleased with what I've seen from Fasano so far, let's hope he keeps it up. Btw...I like your avatar of Walt "Snuff" Garrison, been a long time since I've seen a pic. of him, thanks.

I like the way Fasano runs with the ball after the catch...better than Witten, IMO.

I was surprised when we selected Fasano but having seen a lot of him at ND I did feel he could be a very good player for us. I'm glad to see him producing at this early stage.

Witten is so robotic after the catch.

I think 2 games and 3 catches is too soon to declare yourself wrong, there's plenty of time for him to suck. I don't think it'll go down like that, but it's possible. The blocking has been nice, certainly better than what we were getting with Campbell, and along with our improved OLine play, is no doubt a big reason our run game has been so much more effective, even against strong run defenses.

Frankly, your doubts were justified considering how invisible Fasano was in the preseason. It was good to see him catch a few balls.

We must watch different games because I've never seen Witten catch a ball and get tackled without getting extra yards.

I didn't say he didn't get tough yards, or break tackles.

I just said he runs very mechanical. He is not as fluid as Gates, or Gonzo or Shockey.

Hey he's looking like a better pick than Carp, what has Carp done anywhere, or anytime this year..

Witten may be stiff when RAC but he is fantastic at finding the soft spots in secondaries and making clutch catches.
Fasano may turn out to be the same kind of guy with added fluidity to his running style.
They may make a lot of teams look at 2 TE offenses before they are done.

Just read yesterday where Cincy was stunned when the Cowboys took him in the second, as they were poised to select him two choices after the Cowboys got him. But with the Bengals, it's anyone's guess if that is good or bad.
Im OK with the pick, seems to be a BP guy.

Unless he has a criminal backround we don't know about, this is BS.
