Dallas has only had 3 seasons with a losing streak of 6 or more games.

1960 - 10 games
1988 - 10 games
1989 - 8 games

By coach:
Landry - 10 games in a row twice - inaugral year and his last year. Never more than 5 in any other year
Johnson - 8 games in a row in his first year, then 7 in the same year. NO more than 3 in any other year
Switzer - 5 in his last year. 2 was the longest in every other year
Gailey - 3 in first year (10-6). 2 in the 8-8 season
Campo - 4 in both his last 2 years
Parcells - 5 in a row to end the Vinny year (6-10). No more than 2 in a row in any other year
Wade - 5 in a row in his last year (fired after 5th game). No more than 2 in a row at any other point.
Garrett - 6 and counting. 2 in a row is the next longest.

Notice most were either in the first year of the coach taking over or in the last year when the wheels were falling off.

Garrett will be the only coach on the list to have this long a losing streak in the middle of his tenure.

The fact Campo only lost 4 in a row with Hutchinson, Wright, Leaf, Stoerner, Carter is pretty remarkable

Considering the talent he had to work with, or lack of I should say, the fact that he never lost more than 4 in a row is amazing.

For perspective, consider Garrett has had Romo for his entire tenure and has managed just 1 winning season............equally amazing, but in an alarming way

Report: Saints willing to let Sean Payton out of contract

Despite the Saints turning their season around, Saints coach Sean Payton's future with the organization seems to be hazy, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport

Per Rapoport, the Saints would be willing to let Payton out of his deal if he wanted to become a free agent.

Never been a huge Garrett hater/supporter, but a really good coach wins at least 1 or 2 of those 6 games.

It hurts to think that this might really be the "middle" of his tenure, it really should be the end. It's not about being a Garrett supporter or hater, it's about being a Cowboys fan and JG has had ample time and excuses.

I agree bro, but you know just as well as I do that Jerry is never going to fire Garrett..................he is in the family portrait.

Sean Payton is a pipe dream. Jason Garrett will be here for a while. I'm not sure how bad it needs to get for him to be fired. He has already survived 2 or 3 scenarios where he would've absolutely been run out of any other city. A city where football is secondary (St. Louis) had fans flood their front office with so much negative feedback that they couldn't hire him. The guy is in our family portrait for some reason or another and we're just doomed to have overcome yet another disadvantage.

It's unfortunate. I get liking a guy and wanting for him to do well, but not at a detriment to the team. Jerry needs to put his vanity and stubbornness aside and be honest with himself, he owes it to the team and to the fans.
