the defense got absolutely PUNKED last night.

They couldn't get a big stop when they needed one. Tiki ran all over them and Eli did just about whatever he wanted through the air.

This defense, which has FIVE first round picks has constantly folded against good teams this year.

So, while the QB's and offensive line are having their fair share of problems, the defense is just as bad. There are no playmakers on this defense.

Bob Dole expects all the statgeeks to come and tell him how Newman hasn't given up a TD in a million games, or how Roy Williams is one of the best coverage safeties in the league, or how DeMarcus Ware and Greg Ellis is the most feared passrush tandem in the NFL.

Facts are facts, and the scoreboard says that the defense got it handed to them last night.

Amen brother...terrible offense...terrible defense...Parcells is embarrassed that we played so poorly...who is responsible for putting the team together, coaching it, game planning, and putting players in position to succeed.

Absolutely agree about the defensive performance getting lost in the shuffle. And I've seen enough of Roy Williams in coverage. He can't cover me downfield. Can we just move him to LB where he should be? I know that won't happen but you can't keep leaving him responsible for the deep coverage on a WR. The result is what you got last night vs. Plaxico and last year vs. Santana Moss. I don't have an answer to play deep safety so we'll have to live with it.

the defense gave up 10 points in the first half. then the turn over came and all went down hill.if you lok at the games we don't have turn overs the defense is fine. but no defense can stop a team on every drive, especially a good team like the giants. and no team can stop an offense when they start their drives in the red zone half the time.stop the turn overs and the "d" will be fine

Our defense forced the Tiki fumble - and had other good stops in the game to give our offense the field position it needed. I can't fualt the defense for giving up points when our offense turns the ball over; especually when the defensdse then holds the opposing offense to a FG instead of a TD. Also, our offense was so bad that it was never on the field; so our defense was on the filed time and time again. Any defense - even top defenses - will eventaully lose something the more that happens.
