When they showed Romo just sitting on the bench all by himself with his coat wrap around him just starring off into space, I was like................"Dam, that's hard to watch"

Dude has been my favorite player for over a decade, I got a closet full of his jerseys, I got his playing cards, ect....

Its just hard watching him go out like this.............not saying we should pull Dak, he has earned the right to keep the starting job, its just hard to watch somebody like Romo that has been the face of the franchise sitting on the bench all by himself starring off into space wondering what could have been.

Dam, just hard to watch that................anybody else feel this way?

I feel the same way. This is Dak's team at this point but I am hoping Romo gets a moment at some point this season, especially if this is "the year".

He'll be fine. Here's a clip of him in the locker room:

I am with you, and I have been a proponent of Romo getting the job back. I think he offers some things that Dak doesn't, but right now, how can you pull Dak? There just isn't any way you can and you risk losing the rest of the team if you do. There is such a chance that something could happen to Dak and Romo will get a chance to play.

It's not all about money. Tony is a big time competitor and there's no doubt he's taking this all pretty hard. Put yourself in his shoes... everyone is praising Dak left and right and basically tossing Romo to the side. That's gotta be hard and I doubt he's got much support in that locker room.

Most the shots I saw he looked pretty elated--especially after Dak completed the long one to Dez.
Romo looked downright giddy after that.

Like I said on another website. Romo can blame his brittle bones and his back. He screwed us last year badly. We can't operate the team around his health and when he'll breakdown.it was all on him. It is what it is. No hate

Exactly. This guy is being over dramatic. "Coat wrapped around him"? Romo wasn't even wearing a coat. SMH

What did Bill Clintons wife once say "it takes a village"? He may get a chance to help the team down the line.....it's a long season.

I saw Romo smiling when Dak connected with Dez for a TD. People need to stop trying to see things that aren't there.

This has to be killing him, though. There's no doubt in my mind that he is genuinely happy for Dak, but losing the job due to injury has to hurt.

Hard? Maybe. But if anyone can handle it, it's Romo. Just the nature of the business. Just ask Bledsoe.

If this is the worst thing to happen to him, then he's probably lived a pretty good life.

Think about it had Romo suffered a more minor injury that would have kept him out no longer than the first 2 games of the season, he would have gotten his job back. I felt Dak started to take a strangle hold on the job after the win over Green Bay. To beat the then 3-1 Packers AT LAMBEAU where the Cowboys had only won once in their history pretty much won him the job.

I definitely felt for him when they showed that. Dak deserves to remain the starter, but it is tough knowing how hard Tony has worked for this team. I'm sure he would love more than anything to be out there right now.

He'll still get a shot. I'm pretty conflicted on it.

But I love us winning more than anything, so Tony, grab that clipboard next Sunday and look pretty for the cameras.

Feel the same way, but right now, it's Dak's team, no doubt about it.
I just can't stand the hate Romo gets, he carried this team for 9 years and most people/fans treat him like he is a nobody, can't they be grateful for having him all along and at the same time being happy with Dak? I just don't get the bashing on Tony, never got it never will.
Hope he goes to a team with a good chance at a SB because I think he still has a couple of great years in him.

Exactly, I feel the same way. I get a little bummed thinking about Romo in this situation. I'm a huge Romo fan and always will be. But I was thinking after the game and especially after reading some quotes and articles that were put up. Romo is helping Dak. Romo is backing Dak. I don't think Dak would be playing as well if Romo did not take on these roles. If Romo was a sore loser and was pouting all season and was selfish then that would have affected Dak. But Romo's first thought and action after he got the MRI results was to call Dak and support him. I strongly feel that without Romo Dak would be playing well but not like this and hence if we win it all Romo will get the well deserved ring for being a role model and a leader for the young rookie.

I look at like this. If Romo wasn't the team guy that he is and Dak wasn't the team guy that he is, this QB controversy would have ruined the season. That alone makes Romo valuable to the team. He didn't rock the boat or hasn't rocked the boat.
