Dont want, dont like his coverage abilities. Had some really bone headed plays in the Aggie game.

I like Reid in the second. Good player that played out of position at SS at LSU. He is much more of a zone FS

Last week I saw something where Broaddus said he has thinks the Cowboys like Reid.

I don't know if he was guessing. I don't know if he was told that by scouts or the FO.

Of course it could just be Broaddus being bias with LSU.

Not my first or even second choice at Safety in this draft.

I've heard lots of bad things about Reid and little good, even though he's still ranked highly pretty much everywhere you look.

This time of year, a lot of people just repeat what they hear.

Is he actually as bad at coverage as some around here say, or that more pre-draft groupthink rearing it's ugly head?

I'm not sure, one way or the other.

I have attended alot of LSU home games and I was not impressed. Reid is not worth it. I prefer Rambo.

I think Reid is kinda of the forgotten one

he played with Claborne an Mathieu

put him back there with Carr an Claiborne

Though he was named a member of the First Team All-SEC team in 2012, Reid wasn't as flashy in what turned out to be his final season in Baton Rouge. He collected 91 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions on the season

Has been protected by some awfully talented cornerbacks throughout his career and wasn't the playmaker in 2012 he had been the past two seasons with Claiborne and Mathieu no longer on the roster.

Compares To: LaRon Landry, FS, New York Jets -- Reid signed with LSU patterning his game after the former Tigers' standout and it shows in his physique and bone-jarring hits.

We like guys who can't cover for some reason so im sure he's high on our list.

I'm a big UGA fan, so obviously I have seen both play a lot, and had Rambo not been suspended this year, he is the first safety off the board, in front of Vaccaro.

I wouldn't hate Reid, but from what I've seen he takes a lot of bad angles and gets lost in coverage on deep balls. He can lay a big hit, and is a good athlete, Kiffin might be able to use him well, but to me he is a 3-4th round talent that will get picked higher than he should.

I like rambo but that's not going to happen, he isn't a hitter and a bad tackler.
I like Reid, I'm usually in the minority in this place with the players i like and dislike every year and usually right.

Jerry and Kiffen likes big hitters at safety. Reid played out of position at LSU at SS and played lore in the box and in man coverage. Reid is more of a zone FS which is what he will in Dallas.

I would rather have Vaccaro or Cyprien, but if Cooper or Warmack is at 18 I would rather pick Cooper or Warmack and take Reid at 47.

Watched several Eric Reid tapes tonight. Didn't think he was nearly as bad as he is made out to be. Makes some dumb plays, but he is a good player with potential. Is always around the ball, and I thought he was pretty solid in coverage for the most part as long as ball is in front of him. Good zone safety which is what this team wants. Fierce hitter too

Yep, not a great man cover safety like Vaccaro is. Vaccaro can play both but Reid has to have the ball in front of him and yes he hits hard.

I would much rather have Vaccaro or Cyprien but at 47 they will not be there.

I disagree, I saw Reid in zone and he was terrible.

As far as Rambo not being a hitter, I prefer his big play ability of causing turnovers such as interceptions.

The NFL is all about passing and Rambo's strenghts fits what I think Dallas needs. If he is there in the third round, I bet you that the Ravens or the Niners would pick him up if they get the chance.

I trust Kiffin to evaluate safeties. If we draft Reid that means Kiffin likes him.

So, I'll be ok with it if it goes down that way.

Personally, I do like some other safeties better, but what do I know.

I like rambo as a deep cover safety, I was telling youbased on the last 15 years the type of safties Jerry and Kiffin likes. I was on here last year when rambo was suspended and talking about going in the supplemental draft, I wanted him then and I wiild love to have him now.

I just don't see Garett going after a player that has been suspended two times for drug use, I don't see jerry or Kiffin going for a safety that doesn't like contact. Just doesnt fit what all three have done in the past.
