Lucky Whitehead should be used more next year as a WR. He has a lot of potential to spread the field. His speed is needed. I am one who thinks our WR corps is not that bad. TWill played well when Romo was in. He also has the speed when used correctly.

He's fast and quick, but can he run effective routes and make catches in traffic? We haven't really seen that yet. Doesn't mean he can not, but it's a stretch to assume that he can. Worst case scenario, I'm fine with him being the 5th WR/KR/PR and used only primarily on gadget plays.

The WR corps definitely needs more from WRs #2-4.

Cowboys won't play anything other than their stereotype tall WR outside. Garrett and Jones both think that way.

T-Will does not have NFL hands, and he's only average at route running. Should be a backup.

Lucky might have future at slot. That should be our separation guy, but Beas didn't impress this year.

I only like Lucky on the Jet Sweep, besides that I don't see anything special about him, moreover I always hold my breath when he's lined up to return a punt. I hope he develops his receiving skills in the offseason because his speed is insane.

You don't want him making catches in traffic.

You want him with the ball weaving in and out of traffic.

Haha, yeah. Its annoying.

If we decided to get creative, a pistol formation with him in the backfield would be interesting. I doubt many LB's want to attempt to cover him. If he can sell a route he can be a weapon with YAC.

Whitehead will have to make the team next year first, he definitely doesn't have a roster spot locked up.

Ideally yes. But his strength is running with the ball, not running routes or challenging DBs and Ss downfield. So if he's going to be a factor, it's going to be on shorter routes where there is trash to work through more often than not.

If you're holding your breath when Lucky is back there returning what do you do when Beasley returns punts? I hold my breath when Beasley has the ball period because I've seen him get stripped and fumble many times.

I was one of the people saying Whitehead didn't belong on the roster (this year) if he wasn't returning kicks. Now that he has that part of the game down, its very easy to see him making the same jump in his second year that Dwayne Harris did. Harris bulked up so he could take the physical pounding an NFL WR does and came back knowing the playbook. I think Whitehead will do the same, but take over the return spots and some of the slot plays. He won't be a starting WR at any point, but he could easily become a valuable return man and spot WR the way Harris did.

I think Lucky will be better next year and be a bigger part of offense.

Dez, Butler, Whitehead and Beasley should be on the field on empty sets next season.

Actually I think we should make it a priority that we don't need to use him in the offense next year because we vastly improved the talent level at the skill positions.
