LVE - the downside, coverage

Except when it reflects positively in favor of a Cowboy. Then PFF stats get trotted around here like a ring girl with a round card.
That's why PFF has had success.

Fans and media crave "proof" that they can quote.

The concept is good but the execution is terrible.

They pay fan/blogger types to "grade film".

Imagine grading all games and all players with results in 24 hours or less.

On some more
Hey bro, I'm not dissing LVE at all... just sharing the stat - I have nothing to do with how it was calculated or anything like that, I think he's a stud and was a great pick in the 1st.

We need a virus program that eliminates all access and references to PFF...

They do deserve some credit for being the leader in bringing about a new era of football and pro sports stats. NFL.com completely renovated how it tracks and conveys stats following the success and rise of PFF. Some of its stats may be reaches, like this one, but it did change the game.

Yep, Hitler's V1 and V2 rockets were a step forward in technology...

PFF needs to re-evaluate how they come about their stats.

LVE is a playmaker.

FO did it well before PFF

You love motive mongering but never substantiate it. Provide the evidence they hire “fan/blogger” types. Is there a huge talent pool of skill NFL metric staticians they are overlooking in favor of “fan/bloggers?”

I’m sure they train up employees just like any other line of business.

Does ADT have ex-secret service agents manning their phones?

No way we win the last 2 games without LVE...and the new left guard.

Somebody here at CZ posted more details in the past.

PFF contacted me about working for them.

There have been some people that post here that work for them. It's strictly forbidden to admit that you work for them.

If you see somebody at on a message board get really defensive about PFF, they probably work for them.

32 teams, 16 games per week minus the bye week teams, 46 active players per team...

There are about 170 snaps in a game including offense, defense and special teams.

There are 11 players per team per snap.

170 x 11 x 32 = 59,,840 player snaps per week

PFF puts out their grades in less than 24 hours.

The All-22 "film" does not come out until well after they've published their grades.
