Growing up with my Dads side of the family ,get togethers usually involved good food, good old school country music and some acoustic guitars. Rose Garden was a staple and a huge hit back in the day.
RIP..

i rode an elevator with her back in the70s. She had married Spook Stream, a guy from my home town in Lake Charles, LA that worked in my building. They used to fly to Mexico at lunch time for pheasant. Seriously. RIP Lynn. Too young to die.

RIP Lynn Anderson. Her song "Never Promised You a Rose Garden" was a song that was very special, shared between me and my mom, as her name was Rosemary (middle name), and everyone called her Rose. My mom once gave me a music box, with roses and a butterfly flying over them when you cranked it, and Rose Garden was the song that played. I still have it and all of the memories Ms. Anderson's song created between us. RIP. Much Love.
