I thought Aaron Glenn was the 3rd corner?

Glenn is getting old and probably would not hold up as a starter and we would then need a nickle back. I guess that Wade is not happy with the idea any of the young CB's having to get extensive playing time. Joey Thomas must not have impressed him any more than he impressed me and the rookies are...well...Rookies. And Reeves and Jones are nothing more than ST players just as they have always been.

Many on this board really wanted to use a top draft pick on a CB or a WR. I understand the Cowboys need for another pass rusher & also Revis/Ross were off the board before we drafted. I just really wish we'd addressed the CB situation much earlier in the draft rather then wait til the 7th round.

I thought we really needed all our linebackers. Now there's a rumor we might trade one of them away (either starter Ayodele or important backups such as Burnett or Carpenter) to get a good backup NT or CB. Just how bad do the Cowboys see problems at both NT & CB position?

Frankly I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that Remi Ayodele & Joey Thomas can step up their play in next few preseason games so we can avoid trading away any of our linebackers.

He wrote an article that said these guys had the most "tradable" contracts. That is all.

I don't see us trading Ayodele ... he is our strength in the middle.

Burnett is the only one of those LB's I could see traded for a backup cornerback and even that is a stretch.

Exactly. It's no different from any author writing that he thinks we need help at position "x" and we have a lot of depth at position "y"... therefore, we might trade someone at "y" for someone at "x". And then speculating about who at position "y" has tradable contracts.

He's also going off of us doing the same thing last year with Shanle and letting Fujita walk.

It's pure speculation by someone who is squarely outside the organization. Just like we fans are. He doesn't know any more than we do.

While since trades in the NFL at this time of the year are rare and then it is for some player that is borderline making a team and usually for a conditional 6th or 7th round pick I say doubtful.

I saw the post and I went  fest

That or Mac and the Hack Engel are just guessing again.

They have quite the faculty for that.

Ayodele makes sense.

Gets Burnett starting inside and Carp more playing time.

After Dallas just signed him last year and he played pretty well last season?

That makes ZERO sense. Ayodele has was our best ILB last year...and Burnett our most questionable. I like Burnett's athletisicm, but have seen nothing that warrants him taking Akin's job.

The other ILB spot though...
