For those here that are big fans of Madden like me, i found the player ratings for this years Madden

Of course T.O is rated our best player at 96. Newman's rating is way too low while Fabini and Coleman way too high. Jones gets a 86 while Barber gets an 84. Overall not bad ratings
The guys at FBG have been doing a Madden re-rating project for several years, and imo their numbers have always been much better representation of the NFL than the official EA rosters. The thing I like the most is that they tend to shy away from the extreme ends of the scale, i.e. fewer players with overall ratings in the high 90's and virtually no players below 60.
Another benefit of their re-rating efforts can be found in the punting game. The FBG ratings usually have significantly higher awareness and blocking ratings for backup players. When you use their rosters, you'll notice right away how much better the punting game becomes,
the blockers actually do their jobs
. It's like playing a different game.

Ware speed at 83? Hatcher rated one below Spears and 2 below Canty? No improvement for Reeves? Newman not the best CB on our team? Head scratchers.
Their numbers may seem funny, but they have to be taken in the context of the FBG league wide ratings. For example, in FBG's ratings there are almost no players with speeds above 95:
Fast RBs in Madden
Michael Bennett: Madden Spd & Acc = 97-97 / FBG = 94-96
Clinton Portis: M = 96-98 / FBG = 93-92
A. Green: M = 96-96 / FBG = 95-93
Tatum Bell: M = 96-97 / FBG = 95-92
L. Tomlinson: M = 95-97 / FBG = 92-97
The overall effect is to make Madden a much better sim than it is "out of the box". The downside is that re-rating all the players can be a collossal pain, and it can sometimes play havoc with the salary cap structure in franchise mode.
