What would a SB win two yrs ago have to do with their rating this year?

Judging by firehawk350's comment, I doubt that he has ever played Madden to understand that EA readjusts their ratings according to the previous season's results only.

Newman is tied for 4th best.

Champ is at 1st, with 100

Al Harris is 2nd....with 98? I can't quite tell

Nate Clements is 3rd, with 96? I can't quite tell if 96 is correct.

Newman is 4th, with 95....as is Lito Sheppard.

This is just man coverage ratings; not overall.


At the 16:10 Mark, it has our offense players ratings. I think it says Romo is an 84. Around the 17:12 mark, you see our defense. I think Newman is a 92 and Ware is a 90.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I've never thought Al Harris was that good. Maybe I'm underrating him but he has never looked special to me. Some will probably freak about Nate Clements but i don't really have a problem with that. Lito Shepard looks a little high and by little I mean very little like only 2 or 3 points too high, but then again I could just be underrating him.

I do agree with Romo being anywhere from 83~87 overall. He'll be higher when he proves he's an elite NFL QB this year . Until then though between 83 and 87 is the best I could have hoped for. On last years Madden when I had to adjust his stats after he became a starter I had him at 84/85.

And Pitt does have a lombardi in the last two years. But your right, they don't have anything.

First of Pitt NOTHING last year, so right there they shouldnt be so high. Ok on Denver, I give it too you that they have one of the top secondaries. I know there front seven has no superstars. On O who do they have??? They have a good scheme for run blocking but besides Javon Walker there really aren't any PLAYMAKERS. So good try but I think we should be rated higher then then. True that. It'd be easier to see if we had a listing of other QB's too. I'm willing to bet most if not all of the following QBs are rated 84 or better: Young, Rex, Leinhart, Eli, Vick, Favre...

in the first few min u get to see Vick is a 90 overall

he made one of the best one handed catches of last season against the Falcons, he burned Hall with speed on one and then for his second TD he made an amazing catch with one hand. he has made spectacular catches throughout his career.

They really don't. Established players, especially on the line will keep high ratings. In true madden player realizes that one of the first things they have to do is drop the ratings for some well known FAs, who for all purposes are retired. Ryan Young was like an 82 back in madden 06' I believe.

Thanks... I just purchase the Wii for my kids. I was wondering what the specs were for the "BOYS". My son want's "Madden" but plays golf for his H.S, so Tiger Woods 08 will be his first game and then JM08. I hope Romo is accurate...
