I just downloaded the madden 10 demo like 10 minutes ago and the demo team lets me play as the cowboys or giants? I would of assume it would be Steelers vs Cardinals. Does anyone else get this?

Can somebody please tell me if Romo does in fact still have his "voice" and correct "white 80, white 80" cadence he had in Madden '09? I saw an earlier build of Madden '10 and he was using a generic voice. Please for the love of the Almighty I hope EA didn't mistakenly break this. Thanks in advance.

Can anybody tell me why I should be pumped about Madden this year?

I know the gameplay is supposed to be improved but I haven't heard all the details.

Surely man defense will be fixed I would hope.

One thing I've seen is that they have a wider range of ratings with far fewer players having a 90+ overall and the overall rating going all the way down to 45.

Therefore elite 99 type players (and they are only about 5) will be truly elite and most teams will have very few 90+ players.

Hopefully that doesn't happen in dynasty mode.

I would hate to bring along a young player, have him kick butt in the game, and have his ratings decrease because he got benched or failed a drug test in real life.

Demo is now available on xbox live today. Just downloaded it this morning and couldnt stop playing. lol. The funny thing is you can only play as the cowboys and the giants. But i would recomend you go and download the demo. not sure about the ps3 but i would probably think so.

I'm a Franchise addict as well and it's about damn time. I'm not going to hold my breath for major changes, I heard they have some cutscene type show that will summarize what's going on around the league but I highly doubt they made much progress as far as contracts and giving players personalities and focusing on the draft, player development, etc.

In NBA 2K, players actually react to their needs and wants, and they don't just accept whatever you throw at them. Sometimes you have the money but they want to test free agency. If they don't get the playtime they want, they'll pout, demand a trade and actually play worse. Teams will actually offer you trades instead of you having to go looking for them all the time. Etc.

I have a feeling it's just a shinier coat with Madden, not really more interactivity and having to actually react to the players. You could have 10 QB's rated 99 and only play one and the rest of them would just sit on the bench and do nothing and like it.

Agreed on that.

When a Madden players morale goes down in the toilet and he gets the little microphone icon, it should have a negative effect on the team, but it really doesn't seem to effect anything other than making it a bit more expensive to resign him.

I played the demo a little bit ago, I enjoyed it. I liked "my version" of the super bowl where Arizona wins 56-17, even if it was on easy :-D
