There's no ignorance being spread here. The offense was hot garbage and Dak was part of it. He didn't hit any receivers in stride, a lot of his passes were high or behind the receiver, and this same Jets defense was violated for the last 3 weeks. Meanwhile we couldnt score a TD in the first half for the second game in a row.

It's the NFL. You're going to have to rely on a kicker sometimes. The problem is, we can't.

Awusie is terrible...he peeping in the backfield when he is already 15 yards off the line and still got burned.

This week the man upstairs paying the bills said that we "were going to rely on getting the ball in the end zone (not kicking field goals)." So that's what we did this game. Kick Field Goals. He made 3 and just about made the first onside kick of the season - if the ST players had been hustling. Last week Mahr cost us. Not this week.

umm np he didnt think of it this way, too many kicks attempted in the first place BUT most kickers miss the 62 ns even a lot the 50 those weren't gimmes..so other kickers make the 40.. Its wash, the miss was late and only mattered because he MADE the other two..

PUT THE DMN BALL IN THE ENDZONE MORE OFTEN AND IN THE FIRST HALF DONT GET DOWN BY 18 POINTS...stop blaming the kicker when he made two long shots earlier..blame the offense and defense for outing us in whole for the 2nd straight game..

man hers goes another long week here in CZ

LOL really so last week he cost us the game or a longshot at a onside kick and a POSSIBLE score to win it with very little time left/.

you know how insane that sounds..if either kick were to tie or win the game at the very end, its on the kicker..no way hes to blame for either game.. hes not getting this team down by 18, 21 points...bad offense and defense are..

The botched 2-point conversion lost it for us.

Bottom line: Mayer is 4-6 in his last 2 games or 68%. That is not good enough for an NFL kicker! He has missed 2 kicks 40 yards or under in his last 2 games! That is inexcusable!! I don’t care if he makes a long kick every now and then. If he makes the 40 yarder we don’t need the dam 2 point conversion.
Mayer is way to inconsistent. Making a 62 yarder and missing a 33 yarder is proof of this!!!

I think getting stopped on 4th and 2 at the 7 then giving up a 93 yard bomb on the next play had a bigger impact on the game, but that's just me.

He's not a great kicker but there's no better replacement I'm aware of. They are pretty much stuck with him until next season.

If it's 3rd and 5 or less the team needs to go for it rather than kicking long field goals.

If it werent for the first 3 field goals, Cowboys wouldnt have been in that position in the 4th qtr.

The miss was big but the offense should have gone for tds instead of a kick that would still been a two possession game if he had made it.

If the Cowboys' justification for keeping him is because of his long range ability, that is ridiculous. Gimme a kicker with a noodle leg who has limited range but at least is reliable from 44 and closer.

How about the lame coaching and the pathetic defense.
Some poor play calling on offense as well.

    50 and 62 yarders say what's up ???

If we had taken the FG when the score was 7-3, we'd have won. Simple Madden Math.

He needs a tin cup gadget to stop the slight right side push
The 62 harder started same direction, but had time to draw
Surprised tony r didn't mention the beutiful draw back in on the 62
