Rookies starting to drop... Looks like we're right on pace for the status quo.

I'm not going to jump off the building with the other lemmings...

Let's see how this turns out.

I thought this guy Wilkerson wants, or just got a ton of money.

Wilkerson has not signed his franchise tender. And Jets have no intention of re-signing their best DL because they have young first round DEs ready to take his place in Shelden Richards and Leonard Williams.

Wilkerson is a RKG but Jets do not want to reward a guy who has dominated at his position the last 3 seasons preferring to go with the potential of their younger cheaper up and comers. This is a trade ripe for the taking. Stephen and Jerry need to pick this pocket pronto.

Hamstring issues to follow. Dont expect him to be fully healthy till after Lawrence gets back. Time to start checking the wire.

Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Or as we do, plan for the best, then hope for the best if something happens.

Disaster is never in our lexicon.

Not saying this is disaster, but it presents a challenge to whatever plan we had prior to the draft.

You can't help but think this probably negates his rookie season. He may play but without a training camp and possibly not 100%.

Yep.

A rookie needs this installation period more than any other. If he can't participate until August his rookie year is basically a wash.

He's not dead. 10 weeks would be week 1 of TC. 3 weeks into TC and they are still installing from what I have seen. They don't have pads on in OTA's and as a DL it's the 1 on 1 technique work that he will be missing mostly now. That is big but he can be in the meeting rooms and pick up a quite a bit mentally. The fine tuning on stunts and the like is TC.

Speak for yourself. I think you mistake Garrett and Jones never saying anything negative to the press with what actually goes on when not in that environment. Garrett for sure has a markedly different presentation while actually coaching on the field without the forced niceties.

Lawrence got hurt in the first week of camp. He actually did miss all the TC preparation and when he came back it took him a couple of weeks but was able to contribute. If the situations are indeed equitable then that warming up period for Collins would be before the PS even began.

Marinelli has a notoriously easy scheme particularly up front for all of his stunting. Get upfield and attack attack attack.

:lmao:Sorry could not help myself from splitting a gut when you said Garrett "coaches on the field". Platitudes and euphemisms do not equal coaching to me.

Injuries are expected. Just wondering what starter we will lose for the season before it begins.

I meant that literally. I've never seen him in a meeting room work but I have seen him coaching on the field. If you want to pretend like the groupthink derision that he only claps him hand then go for it. Scapegoat reductio ad absurdum is far too simple for my taste.
