Man of Steel Trailer 3

I'm not a person that goes to movies much anymore. And I am not a person that flips out about super hero movies. "Dark Knight" was cool but I thought overrated a bit. I grew up seeing the original Christopher Reeves Superman and all its follow ups. BUT this trailer has me pumped. Maybe its the Hans Zimmer music or the Russell Crowe voice or what but I've watched it probably 20 times and am fired up to see it. Seems to follow the original arc in more realistic way...not as campy.

I think the movie looks great, but I actually think this particular trailer is edited rather poorly.

I agree. It starts off well enough, but some scenes run on too long toward the end. I think the 'interview' could have been left out also.

Still looks great and I enjoyed the trailer.

I agree that was a poor choice as the conclusion to the trailer, but my main problems are with the excessive use of fade to blacks, and the overly quick cuts during the action pieces trying too hard to match the beats of the music.

Yeah that too... That seems to be a big trend nowadays-- the fade to black with text. It's replaced the voice overs, which is nice, but it was poorly done here. Everything was kind of molded to fit the music as you've implied. Which isn't an awful concept, just executed poorly.

I'm only being overly critical because I've now watched the trailer at least 50 times. I barely noticed the first couple of times through.
