Just a lighter note.

That play was textbook. It was executed just as it was designed.

Gorgeous.

Kinda sad when we had to rely on a trick play for our lone TD.

I don't remember the Triplets resorting to too many trick plays. They just steamrolled their opponents.

Trick play or not, a TD is a TD. Especially since Gregg Williams coached the skins on that play since he called it a "Bledsoe Favorite" that was most likely going to be run once.

Well, maybe we should have ran some more trick plays. That'll get him.

How about some QB option plays? Or RB throws? Or fake FG's?

1 trick play ... 7 points.

DFU offense ... 2 FG's.

These coaches treat Bledsoe like he is a rookie, take the chains off.
If he throws a interception ok..that is part of the game. We will not ever be a winning team with a QB scared to make a mistake.

Those were the days. Now we are left with choke artists.

I agree to an extent. I'd rather attack and get 2 TD's and 1 INT, than be conservative and get 2 FGs, O INT's, and lose the freakin' game!!!

Qwick: I loved it. Really pretty stuff. You could see them setting that up for quite a while last night.

The Skins are tough to score a lot of points on. They were under Gibbs before he retired. And Gregg Williams has them playing well now.

That said, we left a few points on the field, IMO. Our average starting field position was our own 36 yard line. We should have put 17-20 on the board last night.

Exactly MY point! NONE!!! We attacked. We won!!!

We didn't go into DFU mode when we had a chance to win.

We seized the opportunity and made the most of it. We didn't run three straight running plays into the teeth of the Skins D and settle for a FG when we SHOULD have gotten a TD.

Qwick,
Good to see you on here. Yes it was a beauty, but hard to enjoy it with what happened.

I agree with others on here, they have to let Bledsoe attack the D to some degree. If he throws a few picks, that's part of it. He also will come up with some plays like the couple throws down the field last night to Glenn. Last night we win the turnover battle and lose the war. Very frustrating!

This thread was a small glimpse of something nice that happened last night...let go of the hate....at least in this one thread....it's ok, you can still be angry in other threads. ;)

I love how Julius even perfectly spiralled the ball back to Drew.

Thing of beauty.
I was just going to mention that. It may seem trivial, but that spiral pitch allowed Bledsoe to catch it and set up his throw perfectly. Julius deserves a lot of credit for the execution of that play.

It really was a nicely done play. Some Skins fans say - they only got a TD on a trick play.....

trick play - normal play - abnormal play - ....a TD is a TD....and that was drawn up beautifully -

Good game guys. Hopefully this will rekindle the rivalry - it has been horribly one sided for a long time. Glad to have no major injuries.....that pass rush or yours is freakin' scary.

I never understood the "trick play" label...

Isn't any play-action/misdirection/fake a "trick-play"?

How many opponents did they steamroll in 91. This is the first year of something beautiful. If you wanna go hang out with that other guy on the rams and stephen Jacksons bandwagon for 2 years till we get good we will save a spot for you guys when we start steam rolling opponents.

What was most amazing. Bledsoe effortlessly threw a bullet 60 yards and hit Glenn in stride.
