I am not questioning anyone on this boards fanhood because I know most of you are great Cowboy fans. Many of you on here probaly don't know me because I dont make controversial threads and I dont post often because I'd rather read what other people have to say. Anyway, I was sitting in my room last night thinking to myself though, who out there is actually a BIGGER fan than me? Allow me to go into detail:

1) I have not missed a game in 10yr (I am 21)
2) I pay alot of money out of pocket for direct tv so I can see everygame and due to that I'm always broke
3) I drive an hour and ahalf home every sunday morning if Dallas isnt televised so I can see the game. (How many of you would do that?)
4) Living 5 mins from philly,it takes more balls to be a Cowboys fan here then anywhere else in the country
5) I have just as much Cowboys gear/memorbilia then anyone on this board
6) i have the star tatood on me for life
7) Ive been in 3 physical altercations over my team
8) I have turned down sex for Cowboys games
9) I have never ever turned off a Cowboys game till the last second, whether we were up 40 or down 40
10) I watch pregame, the game, and postgame till the network switches to something else
11) This website is my homepage and I visit it atleast 3X/day
12) How many of you on here havent witnessed your favorite team win a playoff game? Since I was old enough to understand and care about football, I have never witnessed the Dallas Cowboys win a playoff game, and I still am passionate as anyone could be.
13) For the last couple of years, I have eaten Thanksgiving in THE OTHER ROOM BY MYSELF SO I COULD SEE THE TV. I'd argue that almost none of you do that. Call me stupid for it, but I'm not missing a game or a play for anything.

There are many other reasons why I am Boys fan, but these ones stuck out to me. I am not dissing people on this board because I realize some of you are just as great a fan as I am, but I will argue that any of you are greater.

Life Priorities:
1) Family and Friends
2) School
3) Dallas Cowboys Football:starspin

Those are your reasons for being the biggest fan? :lmao2:

I have a feeling Hos or CrazyCowboy or even CowboyJoe has just those reasons built into their pinky finger.

My first Cowboys viewing experience that I remember was in 1990 when I was 5 years old. I havent missed a game since the start of the '91 season.

Funny story: My bedtime was 9 PM for the first couple years I watched the 'Boys, so I would always have to be in bed before the end of the sunday and monday night games. When Dallas was playing, I'd always sneak down my stairs (which were conceled on one side by a wall) and sit there watching the game while my dad was on the couch no more than 10 feet away. I learned every single creak on the stairs so as to avoid alerting him. I did this for about 2-3 years until I was allowed to stay up for the whole game.

It's a good start but you're not even in the league of some of posters around these parts, most of whom can probably check off every point on your list. That's not a slight, but mainly because you're younger than some of the hard core guys and gals on this board who have followed the Cowboys like it's their religion.

In addition, how do you pay for Direct TV and then have to drive an hour an a half home if it's not televised? Don't you live at home? Just curious.......

That story reminds me of the night Tony D ran for the 99 yarder against the Vikings. They made me go to bed early but I tried to sneak back into the room to no avail despite crawling on the ground. Also that room was our back patio that my father enclosed for viewing the game, my bedroom window looked into this room so I tried to peep and tom the game but they got after me continually. Needless to say I eventually fell asleep and missed the greatest Cowboy run of all time.:mad:

I once paid a bartender $100 bucks to switch from a Texans game (He was a Texans fan) to the Cowboys game that was on at the same time

Your list was full of things I thought were requirements to be a Cowboys fan. Nothing to see here.

I figured that. I used to do the opposite in my younger years; lived and hour and a half out of Philly and went to college there.

I'm dying for a playoff run and SB moreso for my 11 year old son who's a fanatic in his own right. I can relate to some fans who aren't old enough to have seen the highs and lows of the 70's, 80's and 90's.

I enjoyed the OP. It was posted in a manner meant to be funny and explain himself at the same time. We all think we are the biggest Cowboys fan there is. It is the nature of our understanding of our own love of the team. I can't speak for anyone else, but I know I am almost too involved for my own good. It's a shame Cowboys mania isn't a paid job. I'd be a rich son of a biscuit eater.

I had DirecTv when it was Primestar. My 1st dish took up my back yard and it required 3 of us to move it into position so we could catch the Cowboys games.

In 1995 I once drove 12 hours with out tickets in hand 14 hours before kickoff hoping to scalp some tickets and see a game.

For 31 years I lived 2 hours from Buffalo, 2 hours from Pittsburgh, 3 hours from Cleveland, 6 hours from the Giants, 6 hours from Philadelphia and 8 hours to Washington.

Guess you missed my thread about making the family plan Thanksgiving around the game.
