Kid comes in to a divison rivals house and plays his heart out.

Only to be let down by vets.

Owens drops a ~75 yd TD bomb.

Roy drops a sure pick.

O-Line doesn't give him much time.

11 penalties

Can't block well enough for a GAME WINNING field goal.

Romo would have been 25-36 for 360 yds and 3 TD's if Owens catches that pass.

I feel bad for Romo.

Romo played with poise, and was the player of the game. Maybe the ONLY player other than MB3 who deserves cradit. Poor guy doesn't deserve this.

I agree. Romo is definitely not the problem with this team. We need to be looking squarely on the defensive side of the ball. Btw, I look forward to seeing Romo lead this team on many scoring drives for years to come.

Very accurate.

The "Vets" need to get it together... Romo has it together.

Romo and Newman have the only stars in a pretty pathetic first half of the season.

With as much *****ing and complaining that TO does, I wonder if he is just as loud when he apologizes.

I doubt it.

Don't draft a young qb.
Do sign a backup like Warner.
Pour all your money into the o-line and a REAL free safety.
Fire Zimmer and find a way to sack the QB.

I agree that Romo played a great game. But I don't know about that statement bolded. I thought the OL played a great game. the skins were blitzing nearly everydown it seemed.. and they gave him enough time to get rid of the ball. Now when a team blitzes 50% of the plays,, they are going to win that battle sometimes.. an the skins did. But overall.. I have no complaints with the Line play the last 2 games.

Yea, I agree. Romo played his heart out and almost engineered a great comeback win and the team blows it for him. TO drops a TD, Fasono gets tackled by an invisble gopher with 30 yds of green in front of him, and the line forgets how to block on a chip shot FG.

There better be taking Romo out to dinner every freaking night this week to make up for this.

I love Romo and he played great but he did miss on a couple of long TD's to Glenn.

Replace the name warner and I agree.

I agree with the O-Line, as for Free Safety I think Watkins can still pan out, he has the physical ability, just needs to learn.

Find a way to sack the QB I agree. I don't care who the DC is as long as we can get to the QB.

Would like to have Earnest (LeBeau) from Pittsburgh if cowher moves on this year.

I felt somewhat bad for Romo too.

But my pity quickly dissipated.

Evaporated because I KNOW this kid ain't the type sitting around and feeling touchy-feeley - my guess is he's watching tapes as we speak, trying to improve his performance, and even better, looking at his team-mates mistakes and thinking about he can contribute to their correction.

Tony Romo inspires confidence, not just in himself but in his team. It wasn't 'fair' his team mates let him down in many ways today, but it oddly feels sacriligious to me to want to 'there-there' Romo.

That's how a winner makes a fan feel..like even in defeat he's invincible to the folly of others.

The only apology I want right now is from TO. Terry Glenn makes that catch:banghead:

Well, he's serviceable, and the pickings will be slim. There's no Beuerleins waiting to be snapped up.

All facets of Romo's game are NOT going to fall into place in 2 starts. That is not realistic.

It's impossible to go 36 for 36. The guy was 24 for 36 and would have probably led us to a win had TO caught that beautifully tossed bomb.

Not to mention, no QB hits EVERY long pass. To expect anything different is just being unrealistic. He would be the top passer today (as of right now) had TO caught that ball so it's not like he missed alot. His completion percentage at 67%...not bad.

 Well, of course, that's the SAME Terry Glenn who this week was being written off on THIS board as 'out' of the game plan (Bill will not want Romo to throw deep), OUT of Romo's chemistry class (TG's Bledsoe's guy, not Romo's), and OUT of Dallas.

Front-running all week, hanging him out to dry because Terry only caught four passes last week in a win. ;) Well, today he only caught three in loss. But there's another whipping boy afoot now.

I'm not attacking Owens today for anything but his selfish end zone display..once again his exhibitionism wins out over the team good. But I have noticed the trumpeting of him as a team leader :lmao2: has ceased.

Owens dropped a critical pass but made critical others. He is a vital third down threat, moreso than Key was, moreso than Patrick and Jason currently are.

I can't stand his selfishness, and won't make any excuses when he acts up or out..there are enough apologists and enablers here.

But every receiver drops TD passes at one time or another. That could have been Terry, could have been Jason, could have been Patrick....and may well be next week.
