Manziel caught partying on Christmas Eve
Could get benched for off-field activities yet again

Johnny Manziel apparently didn't learn the hard lesson he claimed he did from losing his starting job over the bye-week video. Another partying video from Christmas Eve surfaced Sunday, and it could land the Browns quarterback in hot water again. In the 10-second video, Manziel is seen rapping, dancing and drinking what appears to be a black cherry Four Loko -- an alcoholic beverage mixed with caffeine, taurine and guarana. His buddy in the video is double-fisting it with a can of Four Loko and a bottle of something else. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

If you think that is the issue then you don't understand the whole picture.

I get the whole picture...dude has been to rehab and needs to get his act together yadda yadda yadda...

What I don't seem to get is all the outrage over this guy's drinking, yet people here being okay with Greg Hardy still being here.

Enlighten me then. He's a 21 year old doing what people his age and older do. Is he breaking the law? No. Who cares what he does in his free time.

Bullcrap. When I was 21, my binge drinking days were over. In fact, I bet most people never consume the levels of alcohol that he does.
Is he breaking the law?
Well, since you mention it, there was that whole domestic violence incident that got quickly covered up....
No. Who cares what he does in his free time.
His employers care what he does in his free time. I am not saying he should go to jail for partying, but I sure as heck wouldn't want this guy on my team - even if he didn't suck.

It's obviously been a while since you've been to college and turned 21....

Explain how it was covered up? IIRC, all the details were out in public and the cop never arrested either of them.

My goodness, the stupidity.

NO team wants their players during the week going out and drinking heavily. This kid is an alcoholic and a party rat. It would be something if it just ended there, but he also allegedly went into a drunken rage and put his hands on his girlfriend.

Browns shouldn't care? Yeah, he's an adult, and he'll have plenty of time to drink his life away when he's out of the NFL by 26.

Alcoholic? Haha. I guess if he is, then every single kid in college around his age is one, too, huh?

Michael Irvin used to show up to games under the influence. 90s Cowboys put this kid to shame. But no one cared. Because they won.

I love these cute little terms like 'drink his life away', though. How is he doing that? He's a starting QB in the NFL being paid millions. You are feeling good about yourself by dogging him on the internet doing what with your life?

What are you on about? There are countless players in this league around his age that resist alcohol. He can't stay away from it AFTER going to rehab. Are you kidding me? This is blatant signs of alcoholism. And every single kid in college? Stop your exaggerating.

You're using Irvin as an example? Irvin eventually acknowledged he had an issue and eventually fixed it. Manziel has acknowledged he has an issue, and you're still defending him. "Just another college student" - get real, you're in denial. The kid has a drinking problem.

He's a starting QB in the NFL being paid millions.

Are you intentionally being dense? He's the starting QB? He keeps losing his starting job BECAUSE of his drinking problem. Were you part of the Manziel cult while he was in college or something?

I think they banned Four Loco in a lot of places after some people went blind.

I guess I just matured faster than you.

Johnny Manziel is a 23 year old professional, not a 21 year old college student. And when I was a 23 year old professional, my days of binge drinking were behind me.

Johnny Manziel is not in college. He is a professional with a tremendous responsibility, and his drinking has caused him personal embarrassment, by all reports he has lied about it, and it is seriously interfering with his job.

If that ain't an alcoholic, then no such thing exists.

Not for much longer.

You folks can't really be this dense. Johnny Football lost his starting job, has been fined, benched, demoted, escaped a domestic violence charge, been admitted to rehab and Lord knows what else. This isn't about a young guy drinking. It's his decision making that is becoming an issue and this stuff is a carry over from his college days. He's a professional now and the Browns have invested a significant amount of money in the guy and his team mates are counting on him. He has a problem with alcohol and he's going to run himself out of the NFL sooner or later if he doesn't get his act together.

Despite all this some still want him to be a Cowboy. Makes no damn sense to me.
