no kidding, if playing in the NFL isnt enough to lite a fire under anyones arse they need to reconsider things!! This kid played very well for a rookie starter for a couple games, but he's shown no pregression, and quite frankly doesnt seem very smart.

Yea Peerless Price took like 8 weeks to learn the playbook, all wr's need to know is where to line up, basic run block assignments and routes....

How is a FA OL who is coming off an injury, going to learn the whole playbook so quick? he needs to know EVERY assignment, for every play in the playbook. No way in hell he learns THAT quickly.

PULLING petiti for a half will put a fire under him and it will cause him to get better...pressure does that...thats how rookies with talent get better...through various situations and one of them is loosing your job...he already has been threatened many times I am sure...now they need to do it...if he can get better through it he can get it back...but the way it is right now we arent going to make the layoffs this way....al johnson needs to be benched too IMO...he sucks also...i will have to watch the tape but i hear that gurode played well after the big mistake...we have no one for tucker so he has to stay

Petitti's problem is not a lack of fire. It is that he just played against one of the better DE in NFL history. Strahan is a hall of fame candidate. Petitti is a rookie 6th round draft pick. Few players come in to the league and hold their own right off the bat at tackle. Those that do are usually very high picks.
