starting in this game at LT as a 2nd round rookie, interesting. Course we really needed an inactive LB......:bang2: :bang2:

I think he brags on McQ so much, in part to try to say he has someone since he has missed on so many. Columbo, I thought he was solid, but the got handled yesterday.

Oh well, please get healthy Bledsoe (he is hurt, believe it). Maybe you are scared to be hurt to make sure we don't put Romo in, but we can't afford for you to stay out there just to save your job.

Why dont you go ahead and mention Randy Moss in this whinefest.

OK, I wish we had picked Moss, man, I can't imagine him and TO................lol, anyway, I mentioned a starting LT and then sent out some hope that our QB will be healthy.

I was really intrigued by McNeill but he had some injury question marks. Never bank on a 6'8" fella who is already encountering back problems in his early 20's.

Yeah, McNeil is starting over a journeyman LT. Big whoop.

I was a huge supporter of drafting McNeill last season in the 2nd, as well as targeting Wimbley, Lawson, or Carpenter. McNeill may very well be a solid starter for years to come and may have been a better impact player for us this year, but you also have to take into consideration that Jacob Rogers, another 2nd round pick, busted on us, and we didn't have any idea that Greg Ellis would come on so strongly as an OLB. But don't fret. I still feel that the OLB position does belong to Carpenter, just not yet. Instead, he is learning a position that gives him a better chance of seeing action, and will also make him a more versatile player, being able to play both positions in the 3-4.

It hasn't been talked about much, but Ayodele got totally bulldozed on that Leftwich QB draw for a TD yesterday. I'm not at all convinced that he's any kind of long-term answer there. I agree that Bobby has been disappointing so far, but when he learns his ILB techniques and gets more physical, his size will come in handy in the middle.

yeah, but the weakness in a 3-4 is always going to be between the tackles. Quickness can cover it up a bit, and the 3-4 keeps the run inside, and usually stops most runs to like 3 yards.

This is something that most don't realize, the beauty of the 3-4. Teams will always run between the tackles thinking that is where the weakness is, but really, it contains the run so well, that they really only get an average of around a 3 yard box, unless you have a dominating front that stuffs it better. If you go to the outside on a 3-4, it is easier to stop with those LBs moving quickly. If you get on the outside of a 4-3 against that smallish OLB, you are cooking.

Could Dallas have picked up McNeil in the 2nd? If so, that would have been nice. I agree with the comments about Carpender.... We couldn't have known Ellis would work out at OLB, but we also have Burnett who and Singleton who are worthy starters at the that position. It turns out that we could use more competition, power and size on the offensive line. And maybe a young quarterback to start grooming for the future.

Starting ahead of a scrub. There is a reason we didn't take him.

Another name to add to your whine list.......Tom Brady.
