he's a cb in my opinion. i think he has more talent than any other cb in the league and if he got more picks he would be a 5 star cb. but i gotta say his few picks this year were at crucial times and/or huge plays. pick6 against the jets, woulda been a pick6 against buffalo but it was a crucial point in the game, and the 1 against the deadskins. i think he had 1 more but i can't remember it.dbair1967;2011749 said:Newman is a much better cover guy than Trufant. CB's from a fan point of view are pretty hard to judge because the only time you see them is when they are breaking up a pass, getting a pick, getting beat or missing a tackle. Most of the time you don't see them blanketing a WR or the help they did or didn't get from the Safety.
Trufant is a top 10 CB in this league and so is Newman in my opinion. Newman might be a hair better in coverage, but Trufant can cover the bigger WR's, stays healthier, and is better in run support. If I had to start a team today I would pick Trufant because of age, but for one season it is a tough decision. I think it would depend on how you use your corners.
