Nice WG. This thread should get some love. Lett knows the game. I don't know Bloom at all.

Leon will teach them a lot, including not to touch the ball after a fg block…. and tuck the ball away until you get past the goal line.;)

good, let some guys have expanding roles, if they feel they are more important they will give it more, let Leon Lett know he can work with these guys and be part of this organization. This is nice to hear.

Lett was a stellar stellar player. Wish Jim Jones made his block on the fumble recovery Lett deserved the touchdown to cap off the biggest 1 sided super bowl ever.

I have great faith and wish nothing but the best for our own, homegrown Leon Lett.

Love the guy. If he continues this path and stays with the team to become an accomplished DC- What a story. What an accomplishment.
I hope it happens.

Good. This is how you develop young coaches.

This group over-achieved last year and I expect it to get even better.

Lett is one of the few that appears to be able to make the transition from being a top player to being perhaps a top coach. That is pretty rare.

I have no idea how you can think he's a top coach at this time. The DL has been horrible. Of course he doesn't have any players, but he also hasn't done anything to make any rational fan believe he's a quality up and coming coach.

Understandably, Marinelli will be taking a step back in terms of the attention he'll be able to pay to the DL. Of course, it'll be in the interest of monitoring the entire defense as a whole as opposed to solely the DL. Leon Lett is likely a capable coach, as is Bloom.. I'm just hoping Marinelli continues to maintain a firm grip on his management of the DL going forward. His beneficial influence on that unit was very impressive last year.

It's cool. He's already given them all nicknames.

LOL -- yep, that's pretty cool alright -- let's just hope he'll help 'em find their way to the opposing QBs on something remotely resembling a regular basis.

Good to hear this, for the Big Cat. Not sure how long he's been an assistant now, 3 or 4 years maybe, but it's time to see what he can do. I believe he will be live up to expectations and hopefully beyond.
New responsibilities and a lot of new players on DL upcoming. He should be able to relate to them very well. Help with their adjustments in the NFL as opposed to College.
