Damn. I want Williams but the Giants can outspend us.

Weirdly though, I don't fear Williams if he becomes a Giant. Tyron would lock that dude up all day.

I think that's two now. Williams and Charles Johnson from the Panthers. Their priority looks clear.

More reason in my opinion to keep Hardy.

Stash - what about Olivier Vernon from Miami?

Second best edge rusher in the league, he's a 4-3 guy and he's 26. He would be expensive and require a restructure from Tyron probably but Vernon, Gregory, Lawrence, Irving and Crawford is a pretty formidable (and young) defensive line and it frees us up in the draft because right now I think D line is where we're going.

He's probably getting franchised.

If not, he's going to get a ton. I mean 80+ mill.

Word is that the Dolphins will use the transition tag on him. It will cost Dallas around $13m and a 1st round pick to sign him.

Williams is well out of the Cowboys price range to compete with other far more financially rich teams for his services. Might as well forget about him and others in his big-name category.

He's been transition tagged at $13 million for this year I believe. That gives Miami the right to match any offer he gets.

I say go get Vernon it will cost us yes but he is a dynamic player. Reports are saying we can't afford him but we afforded Hardy last year. We would not have to surrender a pick for him either so we could get Vernon and draft Ramsey and boom our D has just had a major overhaul

You don't have to give up a pick on the transition tag. All it does is give Miami the right to match any offers.
