It says to me that he's here for the entire season as opposed to being released when Romo gets healthy.
I think he would be easy to trade with that contract at the trade deadline if they didn't feel they needed him. Unlikely but at least possible.

He's just a streaky guy. Gets really hot and then really cold and turns the ball over.

I haven't watched a whole lot of him lately but I don't think he processes information quickly. As far as arm talent he can make every throw on the field.

Early on he is good.

A few D line hits and it's duck and cover.

Brandon Weeden was a good gamble at backup QB because he had a lot of physical talent and his salary was minimal. Dallas only paid the minimum with Cleveland paying the bulk of his original deal. That gamble failed.

Cassel was the best of a bad lot of gambles you could take in midseason, when the team needed a guy with experience who could be acquired at midseason and was a guy that could hopefully pick up the offense quickly. That gamble failed as well.

Sanchez is insurance, he has the experience and will have time to learn the system. You have to overpay to have the insurance of an experienced, non-horrible QB as your 3rd QB but its insurance the team should pay this season.

I imagine Aaron was just noting that there is no guaranteed as part of the $2 million salary. Yes, there is a vested veteran type clause that if you're on a roster week 1, your salary is guaranteed. But it's only guaranteed if 1) you seek to get it by way of the CBA. 2) You haven't gotten it from another team.
Exactly, it isn't guaranteed at all....that is the big misconception.......it is called Termination Pay and a vested vet is allowed to get his whole pay ONE TIME in his career if he is cut after being on the roster Week One.....and then there is the matter of offset language that would allow a team to re-coup any money and cap space paid by his next team

Sanchez didn't get any guaranteed money and that is how it was reported.......nothing to pro-rate or no dead money next year if he is cut

Are you hinting that you'd want Bradford to get hurt? ;)
