plus not all tire damage are puncture wounds. Might have ripped the tire to shreds, or caused sidewall damage. I'm guessing he had to report to camp though. With it starting tomorrow and everything.

I went back to my job one time looking for my cell phone and parked on the side and was going to hop the fence. My tire grazed against this reciever where this big metal pole used to be and gashed the sidewall. The air was completely out within like 20 seconds. This is about 12:00 pm middle of July. Sun beaming down. Never had changed a flat before but figured it out. Not fun.

If tire shops won't repair run flats those are a waste of money IMO. I keep an electric air compressor behind my seat and as well as tire plugs. That's saved me many times.
