We need this guy. From Colorado, they said he has only missed from inside the 40 once, once in his entire college career I think. Plus he has a long of 58 this year. He would solve our kicking problem, hes accurate and has a superleg. We need to solve teh kicking problem asap, and Cundiff is not the long term answer. I am not sure what kind of pick it'll take to get this guy but i'd take him.maybe we can trade into the 4th and get him

One thing I have never understood... the kicker is VITAL in the NFL. We have lost 3 games because of missed FG's. Rarely does a team use draft picks to get a kicker, they just cast their lots...

I am not advocating taking Crosby, although he is about as good as they get in college. It just always struck me as strange that kickers aren't more highly regarded.

The Patriots would not have a single SB if it wasn't for Viniateri.

So true. Teams like us and the Patriots rely so heavily on Kickers because of the ball control time of possession field position type game we play. If the patriots didnt have Vinateiri they'd have never won a single super bowl.

This year we've lost three games because of Kicking, and its too much to spend a 3rd or 4th rounder on a guy with a huge leg and incredible accuracy? A guy that could easily add a few wins a year to our record? Get er done Bill.

Well, I wouldn't say its vital. Look at it this way. 80% of NFL kickers are going to kick with the same consistency. 10% will be great(vinateiri..sp?) and 10% will suck. Theres no sense in shooting for that top 10% when it means giving up such a valuable thing (i.e., high draft pick) when they'll likely pan out to be in the 80% with the rest of the nfl kickers.

1. That's a ridiculous statement. Who's to say another kicker wouldn't have made those kicks? In fact if you go with stats a majority of NFL kickers would have.

Not really, go back and look at all the field goals, Vinateiri made for them. The one in the snow against the Raiders, super bowls, playoffs, regular season. I cant believe after the year we've had losing 3 games to kicking errors that people STILL dont understand teh real value of a Kicker.
