Matt Baker Has Some Good Friends (Romo and Bledsoe)

I'm watching the Saints-Bengals game on NFL Network and they just mentioned that when Matt Baker was cut, both Romo and Bledsoe called up Sean Payton and told him he needed to sign him. The commentators then mentioned that Baker looks like he might beat out the Saint's 3rd string guy and make the roster.

Just thought it was an interesting little nugget.

Well yeah I get that...but if Baker was that good as to be getting job recommendations from Romo and Bledsoe it just seems that we would have taken a longer look. Oh well...it doesn't really matter since he is not likely to be anything more than a clip board carrier anyway.

I do not know who the third string guy for the Saints is, but if it is Tyler Palko, right now (and I say right now, because I believe Palko will be, if he is not already the 2nd string QB.) What I am saying is Baker is not better than Palko.

he did. he was cut. hope he can do better in NO but he didn't make it here. no big deal.
