nobody hyped him.
Rehehelly, I could have sworn people were projecting him to start the last two years, once he stayed healthy. Guess I must be confusing him with some other guy that hasn't played a reg season snap. My bad.

obviously if they put him on IR, then he gets one more chance next pre-season....one....I hope to God that he either stays healthy or they cut him the second he sneezes and cracks a rib

The only real bad thing I see here is the possibility that by the time he gets on the field it will be his contract year. At least he will be low mileage.

Common sense? You just said that he suffered an injury that had nearly a month delay from the time it occurred to the time the actual bone broke.

You don't see where that's just a bit odd?

I'll admit, I don't know much about "stress reactions" but it seems odd that one wouldn't heal at all in the course of a month and would spontaneously progress to a full on break.
