Mazi being lighter

What is their obsession with shrinking this guy. Let him be 340 and stop the run!! He'll never be Aaron Donald. Concerns me that another staff is messing with his weight.
He was never 340 to begin with. Contrary to popular belief you don’t have to be 340 to be effective. He needs to give off the snap quicker then he has been.

Don't draft a run stuffing 1 and then have the guy try to lose weight and be a 3. Makes no sense.
When has Eberflus had a 340 pound 1tech? When they went out and signed all these guys like Solomon Thomas they showed you what they want. I don’t recall Eberflus having big guys in Chicago or Colts.

Why would you want a guy to be 340 if he’s never been 340? If you want a 340 guy go get a 340 guy. The fatter you are doesn’t mean you’ll be a better 1tech. His weight wasn’t the problem last year it was how slow he was after the snap.
I always found it funny when I read posters that say just get a big ole fat guy. That will stop the run.

As if some sort of skill and technique is not needed.

Being 340 pounds doesnt stop the run in the modern era. Teams move their OL east/west and you need interior guys who can move side to side on these zone runs. Plus Eberflus like gap shooter types who can penetrate. The Cowboys need guys to do more than just be big bodies.

Then trade him. Billings started 25 games for Chicago the last 2 years. He's 6'1 340

Right lol. I’m sorry that’s one of my biggest pet peeves lol. Cowboys treat it like anyone can do but that is not the case. You’re asking a guy to take on two 330 pound linemen every play lol….yeah it’s. It as easy as just getting a fat guy lol.

This will be good as teams are running by us

IF a DT can absorb two OL and only give a little ground, then he is doing the job.

A short fireplug with most of his weight low and able to bench press a semi is what you need

For those thinking he is going to be any quicker then he has been, just what more evidence do you need to know that ain't happening?
