Sorry folks, i read on another website that Wade said he was starting. It turned out to be a joke................. what's funny is at the end of the paragraph, in parenthesis the writer did say Wade really didn't say that but that it would be cool if he did............................. After reading the first sentence i kind of lost my mind, stopped reading and tried to find other articles to verify the info. That's why i started this thread.....................

It's funny to me that some fans care about who's starting this or that. What, does the starter get an extra 20 bucks or so on their paycheck?

The real question is, at the end of the Gnats game, what will the carry could look like?

I would hope which ever back is showing he has the hot hand will be the guy with the most carries. I do think we will see some differance in how these 2 backs are rotated in and out of the game under Garrett and Phillips.

Well, the starter is going to establish things. Too often last year we were behind the 8 ball from the get-go because Julius had 6 carries for 6 yards, and we were in third and longs to start the games. Our pitiful defense lets the other team score early, and all of a sudden, it's out of control.

Having a back that isn't going to put us in those situations is valuable. If people think MB3 is that guy, it's pretty obvious to me why they would want him to start.

I have made it pretty clear that I have been disappointed in Jones over this off-season and I do think Barber is capable of more than the role he had last year. Now it is up to the coaching staff to try and get the most out of both backs and use them the way they see fit. I'm pulling for both guys to go out and produce to help this team win football games. At the end of the season Jerry and Wade will have some choices to make until then I'm pulling big time for both guys.

I'm afraid i've unleashed the monster unintentionally............

For what its worth, i personally like MBIII, i love his running style, it just gets me pumped up. However, as a fan of the Cowboys (the team) i want both running backs to be utilized in such a way to maximize thier contribution to winning games........... and eventually THE game. Having said all that, it wont hurt my feelings if we see more of MBIII than last year, as long as it does not take away from his production.

I understand all that completely, however, how is anyone going to know who will put the Boyz "behind the 8 ball"? We don't know until the game starts, right?

MBIII could do the 8 ball thing just the same as JJ could, right?

2 words:

Fantasy football.

A lot of guys broke the cardinal rule, don't draft players from your favorite team...I get the feeling some of these guys drafted Barber with their first pick.

ditto, but i wonder how jones would respond to such a happening. well thats something for wade to worry about.
