Agree. Don't expect Quinn to be fired anytime soon. If McCarthy goes I doubt he would clean house.
Jerry doesn’t care, MM will remain the coach regardless of how the season goes.
Probably shouldn’t have wasted that last 10 years with Garrett then huh ?
“is”? Yes, indeed. “Should”? Not always.
I think MM has to show up during games to stay off of any hot seat. He needs to do all of the the regular get the team prepared stuff, but he also needs to outwit the other HC if/when things go South.
In order to fire MM after next season Jerry would have to do two things.
Admit he made a mistake and write a big check for nothing in return.
Does anyone really see Jerry doing either one of those?
What about 8-8-1???
It's possible....but unlikely. 256 regular season games each year:
2017 - no ties
2018 - two ties
2019 - one tie
2020- one tie
With our track record the tie would probably be with Philly or Washington.
Not unless the season is pathetic (less than 8-9 with bad losses and bad play.)
We have a valid HC in waiting now with Quinn. Moore needs more time - he's just getting his feet wet at this point.
Absolutely. It was already warm after 2020.
If we are healthy we win this division easily.
That would be within the danger zone of MM getting fired.
Another season like last year and he should be fired.
Normally I would agree with you.
But this group of coaches just leaves alot to be desired. They have done nothing to inspire they can handle our players.
Lots to prove.
And yes..McCarthy made some really bad on field decisions that cost us several games.
I never wanted MM in the first place, but how many games was he supposed to win with Gilbert, DiNucci, and Dalton playing QB, two undrafted rookies playing tackle, and the usual soft Cowboys defense?
People want to believe the Cowboys players are better than they are in reality.
I stand by what I say. 6-10 again and he should be fired. I’m not putting all the blame on him but the team at times last year look unprepared. I give him a pass but 2 years in a row than that’s a problem. They had a ton of injuries I get that.
Does it make any difference. He'll hire someone else just as bad as Big Mac Mike or even worse
He better be on the hotseat
