No one’s really talked about our new HC and the QB’s he’s mentored over the years. Montana, Farve and Rogers. All of them are in the Hall of Fame or will be. The thing all of them have in common was an intense desire to compete and continually improve themselves. That’s all McCarthy needs in a QB and he will handle the rest. I’m convinced this hire has been and will be a homerun. Can’t wait to see Dak take it to the highest level.
I think so.

I think so.

I Hope so. As we saw in the divisional game, 500 yards and only 12 points by Lamar Jackson. Reminds me of the 5k yards by Dak but only scoring 10 points or less in 3 important games. The yards are indeed impressive but if they don’t convert to points and wins they are worthless.

Im aware that the entire offense is to blame for those performance so I’m hopeful that MM can fix this issue. Franchise, Draft, and let’s get some real competition at the Qb position and may the best man win

I feel like if Tua starts slipping at all you go up and get him.
I don’t really like Tua but this is the type of move I’m thinking of. I honestly would rather keep Dak on a franchise tag then pick Tua.

I need to watch some more Jordan Love.

Ive watched a little of him and I really like what I’ve seen there.. Definitely has some tools to build off of.
I don’t know if they are doing the draft show without Broadus there at DC but that’s when I usually started paying real attention the draft. Might have to find some other draft podcasts. I’ve heard about the Love guy but haven’t really been checking draft stuff but after LSU wins I’ll pay more attention to it lol.

Agreed. Drafting while tagging Dak is the only way to go. To many here fear drafting a bust that it blinds them from how average Dak is. We shouldn’t pay him 35+ mil. It’s actually funny because every time I ask someone, “why should we keep Dak” the reason behind it is because “we have no other options!” Or “we might draft a bust!” The reasons are never because “Dak is an amazing QB” or “Dak is a top 3 QB”. Quite weird actually. Drafting Herbert or Love would be fine enough for me. At least being in competition. Who knows? We could bring in the next Mahomes or Wilson! Same thing happened to the Chiefs. Mahomes was drafted in 2017, sat under Alex Smith, Chiefs decides Alex Smith was mediocre and not worth a record breaking contract, and Mahomes came out blazing in 2018. Why can’t we at least attempt the same?

Trade the whole draft for the #1 pick next year. Take Trevor Lawrence. Problem solved.

Exactly..

People on this forum are scared to draft a QB like it’s 1998 and QBs are impossible to find.

Mahomes and Watson weren’t the top picks in the draft.

Our own Dak Prescott was a 4th rounder.

It’s gotten easier and easier to find a QB that is at worst solid.

QBs are just more prepared then ever for the Pro game.

This might be the most "could be talking about porn" post I've ever seen.

I don't see Dak on the same level of any of those 3 QB's.

That being said on offense we just need some better game plans and more creative play calling.

Defense and special teams is what McCarthy really needs to fix.

We might draft a bust and since we don’t have a sure fire hall of famer to replace the hall of average qb we got just keep him you know? You didn’t get the memo yet? Lol

Cowboys should take a chance on a QB at least every other year.

Starter, veteran backup, developmental young QB.

I pin four losses on the defense and four losses on the offense. The offense scored 10, 9, 15, and 9 in four losses. Then they scored 24 points in 3 losses and 22 in the other, so that goes on the defense. (IMO) But special teams cost us two games somewhere in there.

So I still believe our "bus driver" can get it done. He just needs a better defense and special teams play.

What happened to special teams? Has everyone forgot about them?
