I said some fans, not all. Now unless you are assuming everyone on this board are complete idiots, including yourself then............No the Cowboys would be Cleveland.

I’m completely ignorant about many things as we all are.I said some fans, not all. Now unless you are assuming everyone on this board are complete idiots, including yourself then............
AmberBeer/Rockport?Pretty obvious some mocks get his attention ..........
BTW......Never thought this before, but I am 100% confident someone (staff, relatives) inside Jerry's circle has an account on this board.
Yes, let's leak our draft board and to tell the rest of the NFL our thoughts.LBers need to be a priority every year.
If you are a 3-4 defense and suffer extensive injury to your LBers, the season is dead.
The Cowboys injury history seems to suffer a certain pattern.
They don't have just a single player going down during the preseason, they have entire squads going down.
I’m convinced Parker had a hand in pushing for Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in the draft and also helped land Zach Baun in free agency. If that’s the case, then the plan seems pretty obvious: we should be using high draft picks on corners and safeties. In fact, we should be doing that every year.McClay made a comment a few years back.
He said they were changing they way the looked at prospects.
As some of the coaches, looked at athletes so they could conform them to the style of play on defense and schemes.
But then when MM came in, it was they would find athletes period, and adapt the scheme to their strengths.
That did not happen either.
Now it seems they just want players that can actually play?
We will see what happens. Seems basically the look for players that are told to look for, and not necessarily just dawgs that can flat out play.
Injuries have the same impact regardless of scheme. It's just that OLB's replace traditional defensive ends and the three down linemen are all (essentially) DTs. Extensive injuries to the LB room would depend on who is hurt- the two "traditional" LB's starting inside or the stand up pass rushers playing outside.LBers need to be a priority every year.

Osa's regular position would be 4i or 5t and Quinnen's position is still the 3t.I'm having trouble picturing DEs playing a 6 technique in a 3-4 scheme without chuckling. Is it normally done that way? That just sounds too wide.
They did not follow their own rule on Smith. This means no more drafting players like Taco Charlton and **** Smith, passing on players like TJ WATT that can play but don't fit the coordinators scheme.
This is how you build a talented team to win and not just draft a bunch of players just because the scheme calls for it.
They've showed clips man. They had Mazi & Matthew Bergeron as the guys they were choosing between and McClay wanted Mazi. Bergeron went #38 in the second round and has started every game for the Falcons but he's just a solid starter. They did not follow their own rule on Smith.
Maybe just draft the best player available, instead of reaching for needs.
They immediately asked him to lose weight. I don't care about their draft day discussion. They said they draft players and use them to their abilities. If that was the case why would they immediately try to turn him into something he was not? They've showed clips man. Impacts FA approach also.
Yeah I hope the story of that move is revealed one day...I doubt itThey immediately asked him to lose weight. I don't care about their draft day discussion. A first round pick should be an immediate impact starter. Not a project that need to lose 40 pounds.
This is one of the dumbest things the Cowboys have done in 10 years, right next to trading for Phenom Trance.
Be easy on yourselfNot being a jerk, but I don't understand why this is still so difficult for some people.
Dallas doesn’t have the personnel to run a 4-3 if we are being honestDallas does not have close to the personnel to run a 3/4. Not even close.
Too early for " Mission Accomplished" or "McClay is doing a helluva job"?That's some major "strategery" going on right there!!![]()
I don't think they have any defensive personnel.Dallas doesn’t have the personnel to run a 4-3 if we are being honest
What makes you “convinced” of that. Or is this just wishful thinking?I’m convinced Parker had a hand in pushing for Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in the draft and also helped land Zach Baun in free agency. Hopefully, that is where they invest in this year’s draft. Take care of the linebacker spot in free agency, and pick corners and safeties high in the draft.
This draft is filled with top safeties and corners. I hope they get Dillon Thieneman. Then maybe trade down with the second pick to acquire second- and third-round picks. Another player we can go after is Dylene Everett.
Both have good size, solid coverage skills, and amazing 4.3 speed.
If anything, in past drafts the Cowboys have picked up injured players or players who didn’t run a good 40 at the combine. As a result, we’ve had one disastrous draft after another, especially on defense.
