LOL, who has ever succeeded in Oakland?. Please tell me. That place is the black hole of careers. Randy Moss couldnt even succeed there.

Let's face it, it's hard for them to get any worse.

In his defense, he more or less said the same thing...

"It’s a lot to prove. I still feel that way. I don’t feel that people have seen the best of me in the NFL. I can only go up from where I’ve been. That’s what I’m looking forward to.”

Of course he could be referring to Oakland as the 'where', instead of his own shortcomings... if such is the case, I hope he's right.

I didn't like this signing particularly either, but where is all the animosity coming from? He's a dude who works hard and just hasn't been good enough. A willing blocker and a lifelong Cowboys fan.

Is it really that hard to just get behind a guy like this and hope he surprises while realizing he probably won't?

Setting the bar high for his NFL career, eh?

But in all seriousness, I really do believe he will shine this season and surprise a lot of people. I don't think he'll be as "productive", so to speak, as Murray was this past season, but I think he'll be a solid player who'll make a fairly noticeable impact.

Kenny Stabler and Marcus Allen says hello.

Had to dig real deep for that lol

But I hope playing for a team on the up and up(which happens to be his favorite team) instead of Oakland motivates him to go all out.

The Oakland Oline selectively sucked the most when blocking for McFadden as opposed to the other runners on the team where, in obviously what was a bit of a conspiracy again McFadden, the OL line good enough for those runnings to average 1 - 2 more yards per carry.

Yep.

Statistically speaking, McFadden has been the worst starting running back in the league over the last three seasons. Since 2012, McFadden is averaging 3.34 yards per carry and 3.77 yards per touch, both are the lowest in the league (minimum 400 carries and 500 touches)

Just about every running back that has had a chance to replace McFadden in recent years has outperformed him. In 2012, fullback Marcel Reece and backup Mike Goodson were more productive, but they had far fewer carries than McFadden.

In 2013, Rashad Jennings came in and led the Raiders in rushing yards, carries and yards per carry. Both Jennings and Reece were more productive—each averaging more than 4.5 yards per carry....

In 2014, it was Murray that outperformed McFadden.
